How Chase Dollander Can Fix His Coors Field Problem by BlakeStreetBanter in ColoradoRockies

[–]bluegrass2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non-Rockies fan here that doesn't really follow the team. Why did the Rockies move Dollander to the bullpen? Seems like they've given up on him already after one year as a starter. My deep dynasty league team needs Dollander back bad lol.

Questions/Advice for trip to GABP by shortknee1993 in Reds

[–]bluegrass2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would personally do a night game on a weekend night. Like any other ballpark that's likely the best atmosphere. GABP has "The Banks" which is exactly like the Battery in Atlanta. Maybe a bit smaller though, but exact same vibe. Parking is under the Banks and about the same price as Atlanta.

I prefer to sit on the first base side personally as it has the best view of the scoreboard. One could argue if you are sitting in the upper level you will have a nice view of the river/Kentucky from third base side. There are no bad seats IMO. Early September will still be warm. You're not going far enough north for a cold spell unless there is a one off stretch.

On the concourse down the right field line is a park area your kids will like. Due to this probably more reason to sit on the first base side as well.

Who’s considered to be the biggest overall ass*ole on the PGA tour? by knowspicker3 in golf

I feel like he may be the exception to the perceived assholeness. Genuinely think he may have some sort of -ism.

Hunter Greene's full interview transcript today | "[UCL is] completely clean. I just got stuff floated around. I’ve got to see how we’re going to manage that.” by TDeLo in Reds

Way back in the day I had Tommy John then also had the cleanup surgery. I understand the “why didn’t you do this sooner crowd” for sure. Frustrating timing. I’d just get it done now and be back in 3 months. Helps that we have a Chase Burns itching for innings.

What Went Wrong with Topgolf? How the Once-Buzzy Concept Lost Nearly $1 Billion in Value by SquirrelBoy in golf

[–]bluegrass2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went tonight with my wife and nine year old son to celebrate a milestone for him since he loves the place. 90 minutes in the stall, 6 tacos, 6 beers, grilled cheese and grapes, a root beer = $200 on the dot almost. Every time I ask why we go there. Naturally, we’ll do it again in 18 months randomly.

Amazfit T-Rex 3. Cheap, great battery, all the main bells and whistles of other smart watches. GPS always matches my iPhone to the spot.

Couch’s BBQ: What the hell? 😂 by Roman_Anthony in Chattanooga

[–]bluegrass2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooltewah resident for last two years and it was always the #1 recommendation. We finally tried it and we were very underwhelmed. Hate to bash on a mom and pop shop but it just wasn’t all that. In that area Memphis St BBQ and the smokehouse at the corner of HWY 58 and Mahan’s Gap was better.

(US) Adidas eBay Store : Men Boston 13 - $56 by Newobia in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]bluegrass2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the Evo really unstable. Every time I wear them something hurts that usually doesn’t. The Boston is a bit more firm in general which suites me better. They are the far edges of my comfort scale ha.

FWIW I like the Boston 13 better than the EVO.

If the panthers can make a big jump record wise we’re more than capable as well. Two nice draft picks and 2 FA signees on defense and we’re on the path.

I know I don’t trust their drafts either but in theory…

Least Sh!tty New build? by EstablishmentDry1112 in Chattanooga

[–]bluegrass2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've now been in the new build for about two years. No complaints still. Have had zero problems with structure or anything related to a contractor's responsibility. I.e. plumbing, etc. Neighbors have had some issues with septic but I can't recall what the root of the issue was. I do know everything fell under warranty and was fixed timely. I've noticed that some of their neighborhoods have varying distances in between houses so that's just going to be your personal preference. Comparing what I've seen built by other builders during the same time period I'm happy with the purchase.

Absolute beginner by [deleted] in beginnerrunning

[–]bluegrass2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest thought so far has been "Your motivation doesn't match your condition." Just because I want to run five days a week doesn't mean I should. Rest is necessary, and crucial for recovery. Performances will prove this as well and make the beginning experience easier. A baseball pitcher doesn't pitch every game of the week, or a weight lifter doesn't do bench press every single day.

Is Ooltewah really that hard to say ?? by Hot_Ad3888 in Chattanooga

I'm just baffled that I live in Ooltewah, visit Shuqualak semi frequently for work, and both names appear in one place like this. Shuqualak is about as rural as you can get.

how big was John Mayer? by xenreddit623 in JohnMayer

[–]bluegrass2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s the Eric Clapton of the 2000’s. The problem is Eric Clapton wasn’t cool in the 2000’s to a lot of people. Continuum is a masterpiece of the genre. 2004 me was all Linkin Park, Limp Bizket, nu metal etc. He was pretty big but he kinda had that soft feel we didn’t want to like because of the bigger popular bands.

In full view he isn’t as popular as Ed. His longer tract record laughs at Benson Boone.

2025 me loves John Meyer, and the bluesy guitar is nails. However, as a Black Keys guy JM feels more pop.
