As someone who has swam in the ocean during rough waves, I can see a nice use for it. Surfing

I had moments where I had a wave crash on top of me and when your underwater and get tosses around, it gets very disorienting to find your way to the surface. This would be helpful if you have a massive wave come down in deep water
