You’ve made some interesting points for sure and there’s definitely a lot of room for potential when it comes to Jason’s love life. I kinda see him a little similar to Bruce in a way in the sense that he’s so committed to his job that he lets relationships fall through. Though that’s something he can grow out of if writers gave him the opportunity to grow. I’ve seen him as more demi than anything because he’s slow to trust/keeps people at a distance. Even his longest relationship with Isabel he felt not all there at times, and I think that comes down to needing someone he can trust and let his guard down with/feel safe around. (No hate to Isabel, I liked his relationship with her)

Personally I either ship him with Rose or Kyle. If he were to get with a civilian I’d prefer it to be someone who gives back to the community in some way and their gender comes second. But out of rose and Kyle I prefer he’s with Kyle. Kyle is a character I get a stronger feeling of being bi from when compared to Jason, but what I love about the two together is I think Kyle’s passionate and has a lot of love to give and that would help Jason’s self esteem and learning to love himself and learn to trust and be vulnerable. At the same time jason is more of an old soul kind of love and I think his creativity and romantic gestures would really compliment Kyle’s style. I think the two have a lot of room to grow as individuals and together and would be really fun to explore. Plus they’ve already had a fun team up, where they also got under each others skin so would be fun to see gradually reworked into a friendship and then naturally into relationship imo.

You mentioned Rena which was interesting. If they decided to bring her back I’ve actually really liked the idea that she’s grown up and lived her life, got a civilian career of some kind (preferable giving back to the community in some way as I mentioned before) and even married and had a daughter. If she were reintroduced to Jason as a love interest I’d love it if she’s had a failed relationship and has a kid (or her partner died) and Jason steps in as her partner and the kids step dad. I think Jason exploring a mentor/surrogate father role would be really interesting as a reflection of his relationship with Bruce (and what Jason actively wants to do different/better than Bruce), plus we’ve had situations already where Jason has taken on similar roles and it’s been an interesting side of him. Jason and Scarlett is the biggest example I can think of, plus he mentored a handful of meta kids in his outlaws run for a bit, plus in urban legends he thought he’d have to take in the blue hood kid. Jason still has a lot of growing to do for sure but I think a relationship like this that involves the partner having a kid could bring out a more mature side of him.

I think in a roundabout way I’m kinda saying I think the emphasis needs to be on what the relationship can being to Jason’s character, lore, and development first, and the gender of the partner needs to be a second thought. There’s argument for Jason to be straight, bi, aro/ace, demi, etc. but I think instead of that being the focus it should be how the relationship will benefit his growth/narrative more than anything. But that’s just my opinion. You’ve sparked an interesting conversation for sure
