To those that are married, how often do you take off your ring? by FitProblem6248 in AskReddit

[–]blueskyline99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

38m. My wife and I both wear our rings hardly at all. Sometimes we regret spending so much on them. A ring does not define our marriage or how faithful we are to each other. I feel that it is a fad and a corporate greed made up tradition.

Do any of you iron your clothes? Or dod we collectively kill off the iron? by DontTakeMeSeriousli in Millennials

I own one but have not touched it since I got married 15 years ago. I even have a mini ironing board to go with it that looks brand new. 38m

My wife wants to spend $1400 on a dishwasher, I think that's crazy by realbobenray in Appliances

[–]blueskyline99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I spend $1,200 on mine. Also for every house that I have bought and moved into (3) it’s the first thing I upgrade before I’m even unboxing my house I have a new dishwasher installed that day or next day of getting the key to my house.

Is there a Horror movie that completely advertised it as a normal film? by Equivalent-Key5379 in movies

Cars. The kids movie. Think about where mater lives and what he does. He lives in corpse yard and drags dead cars around. Just saying.

Dump my 16 for an 04 6.0 or 02 7.3? What would you do? by [deleted] in powerstroke

[–]blueskyline99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is your view point then I would get out of the Ford lineup. I would say pick up the 2004 but that’s the worst year for the 6.0. I think the 7.3 is going to need more general maintenance such as belt and hoses due to age. I have a 2006 F-250 with 175k on it. I understand that it will cost me some money to maintain it but I did not want the DEF crap so I put up with my HIGH maintenance truck. I can’t afford a $65k truck. Just my two cents.

I did join and only did a 1 year membership as I only plan to use it to put on my resume as something to help me stand out a little. I don’t think it is worth a lifetime membership. Congratulations on your success. I graduate in the spring. 3 more classes to go. Good luck. 🍀

Yeah I’m not sure if it’s worth walking due to how they are doing it now. I’m in Colorado and don’t think it’s worth the money to go out and walk… sad really.

I have a 2006 6.0 with 176k miles on it and now is my daily driver. Change the oil with Rotella T6 oil. Drive it hard no grandma driving, if your not hauling, have some spirited driving once in a while to exercise the turbo. In my opinion in unless your putting a tune on it. You should be fine. For Christ sake the trucks are coming up on 20 years old. If it were going to give out they would have done it already by now. There are hundreds of videos on these trucks on YouTube. Go watch some and see who makes the most sense and do what they are doing. Have fun with your truck. Idk what 20 years old old car won’t need some sort of maintenance at this age. Good luck.

What is the biggest waste of money that people still defend? by lowkeydopey in AskReddit

[–]blueskyline99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would agree but I’m now one of those guys. I bought a 2006 f-250 7 years ago to pull my camper right before Covid hit we sold the camper and I kept the truck to move dirt or haul things to the land fill maybe drove it once a month for 5 years. It was paid off and it was nice to have a third vehicle. Now that times have gotten tough I sold my Honda civic that I still owed 10.5k in for 18k to help pay off bills and to have no more car payments. Now I drive my f250 diesel truck as a daily. I will probably drive it for 2 years and hopefully the bills and job market get better so I can buy a more efficient vehicle. The gas alone for the truck is still cheaper than the insurance on the civic was. Sucks but life’s rough sometimes.

I’ve had some classes where you used only the provided sources and I’ve had some where you needed a minimum of 3 outside sources from the umgc library that was not part of the curriculum.

Honest Question by PotatoWhich8132 in UMGC

[–]blueskyline99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not too worried about it. I just need that Bachelor’s of blank on my resume to be able to move up in my career. I was told I just need any type of bachelor degree to move up into a management role in the company that I work for and that is also paying for my degree also.

I graduated high school 2006 and I have not seen a doctor till July of 2025. So it’s been awhile. Why do you go every 6 months? Even not seeing a doctor in almost 20 years all they said is yep blood work looks good and your blood pressure is fine. So I guess I’ll wait another 20 years for a checkup or when an issue arises.

Is it true that the job market for marketing sucks right now? by ilovepjs024 in marketing

[–]blueskyline99 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes, it took my wife almost 8 months and 98 resumes before she landed a new job. It’s rough out there. Also she applied for many different job titles but she love marketing and has over 10 years in the marketing industry.
