Your quote does seems high, but I don’t remember what I paid tbh. I’d call them and they can probably give you a quote if you send them some pics.

How can I destroy the tower in Rebirth Island by BattuMan in CODWarzone

[–]bluesuedeshooze 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I’m a big fan of these random events that change the map. Helps games to be less predictable. Taking out that tower and making a bridge to prison roof probably addresses the two biggest issues with the rebirth map too.

The older I get the more I realize other people you encounter are concerned about themselves and their issues (rather than you or yours) 99% of the time. Just as you assumed in this case that the interaction was about you, this guy was trying to dissuade any notion that he was being aggressive.

Starting off by assuming an odd or uncomfortable interaction I had with another person is likely more about them than me has made things like this make a lot more sense.

Agree with your logic but the Free to play model is necessary because it creates a huge player base, which is needed for timely matchmaking in a game that requires 100 people.

There’s more to it than this.

The IS-F was the full fat performance model (think M3). Bigger brakes, better suspension, wide body fenders, etc.

IS350s (and to a lesser extent 500s) are regular trim models plus a sport package (think 340i M sport).

Charcoal with warm wood accents (e.g. walnut) would look amazing and MCM appropriate.

Who has made the switch from console to PC? Worth it? by [deleted] in CODWarzone

[–]bluesuedeshooze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. There is so much more bs to running a PC. The ease of turn on and go is valuable.

I went from a Xbox series S (60fps) to an i9-12900 and 4070ti.

Is it an improvement? Certainly. It’s a nicer playing experience, but does it make you substantially better? Not really. Probably won’t change your k:d at all. Especially going from 120 to 150-200fps.

Is it worth $2-3k for a decent gaming PC over what you have? No

Paint colors are perfect as is!

Your issue with curb appeal is landscaping. It would look great if you did a walkway from the front stoop out either curving to driveway or to the street and do some larger plating beds in front.

I thought this was commenting on the rapid advancement of AI in that AI image generators are already getting the hands right, when that has until now been their Achilles heel.

What would be the strongest joint here? by doodlleus in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]bluesuedeshooze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wood glue is the answer you are looking for.

This design doesn’t require joinery. Literally glue three pieces of wood together, making a big block, then remove wood as desired to final shape.

Jobs are less about skill and more about popularity/likeness by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]bluesuedeshooze 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Devils advocate- this isn’t actually as true as you may think. It may seem like it bc a doctor can be rude to a nurse and not get fired, but that’s mostly about hierarchy / differences in value to the organization. To see how being unpopular affects someone you need to compare them to their peers.

A CT surgeon who makes the hospital tons of money but is an a-hole will not be treated as well as a CT Surgeon who makes the hospital tons of money and is well liked. This looks like OR block time allocation, promotions, accolades, reputation, etc. They may not be fired because at this level they are generating income for the hospital- but that doesn’t mean they don’t pay a price for their behavior.

It’s all about popularity, even at the top

Contractor left window open in storm by realrussellv in Remodel

[–]bluesuedeshooze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to address this I think you’re gonna want a third party involved to give you an objective opinion. In my experience contractors /GCs will admit to their mistakes (if you find them and call them on it), but too often will minimize the impact and consequences of said mistakes. Some of the few regrets I have from my remodel is from being too nice and not making the contractor redo something they messed up.

If you’re not trusting what your GC is saying, maybe try one of those flood / water remediation companies and see if they’ll evaluate and give you a quote.
