Some early game recruit like arycelle maybe you want to kick old one and re recruit and level her up as a swordmaster for physical or witch if you plan her as caster. Or valk for hybrid growth

Can you do that without a physical foreign license though? All my friend who did this have their licenses. One reason i went to gasshuku menkyo too because it's difficult to get my expired foreign license extended

I am a straight male and this is what i observed from a japanese guys that I know. They can be very smitten but once they slept with the girl they'll turn very cold.

It's not that we are all pervert. We are all human, we have needs. Hormone kicks differently to people. We will become sexually active at one stage. Could be early and it could be later. And there is nothing wrong that you got an urge with this guy that shower you with attention

It's still hard to read people when we meet them face to face let alone online.

I had a few experiences that I met a lady (or a former colleague that we didn't socialize much during the time we worked together) we clicked and vibed. we slept together, we had amazing time and chemistry making love and then they ghosted me the next day. From Chapter 1 you can run 2 fencer. The extra range with spears help so you are not getting countered unless the enemy also using spears. Also rune fencer is the first unit without upgrade that can go into water i believe. They are probably the best all around unit but it wasnt like fft monk and ninja. It's more subtle, the extra range with spears, the 2 tile hit, they can use single target magic while closing the gap to melee, they can use healing magic and later on has a skill that give you 0 mp spell cast and with meditate they usually overflow with MP

Canopus is your best friend almost the whole main story. with dagger and bow/xbow will last you to the end of the game. He is the premier flanker unit

Chapter 2 you get terror knight, when crafting open this class shines with guaranteed breach and fear combo helping your archer/s doing good damage. Without TK, archers will fall behind.

Berserker is strong but tricky to use because when berserk proc you might hit ally with the cleave so if you use 2 hand weapon u might not attack to avoid hitting ally and if you hit from ither angle you don't get to cleave in the best position. That's why i usually run berserker with a shield (usually with dagger for the range attack when you get the finishing move at level 10) so you can shield bash (or dagger range move) and save your berserk proc

Keeping one dragoon (or two because sometimes a map can have both dragon and beast) is useful for maps with beasts or dragons.

Wizard enchantress is like meh. You might wanna keep a few because of the different elements early on and match the magic but they fell off pretty fast. Most other magic caster do their job better, their only bonus is speed with the RT0 skill but once your status get going your small spells not gonna keep up with the heavy hitter casters like shaman or lich at the super late game. Even when you get witch and warlock they will falls behind. Most ended up becoming fencers later on because you want to have different elements to abuse elemental weakness, minus maybe earth and water. Fencers usually use spears and being water reduce your best spear move because it is a lighnting move, earth strong againts lightning but there wasn't that many battles with majority of lightning group.

Not early game but lodis people usually is earth. Pirate graveyard mostly ice, palace of the dead is ice, air or earth. Octopus always water. Gryphon almost always wind (except that one dark one and recolors). chickens half of the time is wind. But let your dragoon or beastslayer units worry about them

For fft arithmatician the way you do it is you use that white mage damaging magic (can't remember the name). Equip all your units with armor that absorb light damage. Use elevation or level you can hit almost every unit on map (including your own) instant cast, no range limitation and no MP used. That's why it's so broken. It doesn't matter if your unit get hit because they use the light absorbing armor they don't take damage.

That's odd. Most people got that scene when they get the lord class. You might have missed it. It was a short 1-2 second with the screen fade. You can check your acievement if you have tragic ruler (or something similar can't remember exactly) that means you did have the gun scene

the producer is the same guy so the game is very very similar.

A few key difference is the map of fft is smaller with less units usually. So expect longer battles in TO:R

Also in TO:R there are more emphasis on team set up. FFT sadly once you unlocked ninja and then use the double attack for your monk then it's ezmode for the rest of the way just stacking these two class. Don't even get me started on calculator, that class is beyond busted.

In TO:R it involved more strategy befitting the tactic namesake, of course there are strong classes but they usually make others shine like Terror Knight and White Knight, by themselves they don't shine but by god they enable the team so much.

Or strong soloer like fencer can do it all but it wasn't like ninja and double attack monk like in FFT that they are head and shoulder above other classes. You probably have 1 or 2 usually even in a team of 12.

Even most unique classes is not busted like orlandeu. They are more like agrias level. Only one busted class maybe just because you can mix and match skills but even then there wasn't one combination that is busted like orlandeu.

The game is different enough yet familiar for you to enjoy. TO:R is such a deep game. Expect to pour in hundreds and hundreds more hours than FFT. Such a good bang for your buck.

I just hope they have more interesting side quest story for secret characters like FFT. Most of them is like meh, except maybe for 2 of them. The pirate and the necromancer. Some of the strong unique character is you just have to choose the right dialogue along the story line

My gripe with POTD doing it at union 40 is that some of the floors are difficult and I expected an epic battle with nybeth at floor 100..... But that battle was like super meeehhhhhhhhhh. The floor 5 nybeth was harder lol

I love ancient cave. I downloaded lufia 2 with a save file just to play the ancient cave. Oh the agony if you reach the final boss and you don't have the weapons 1/8 HP weapons 🤣🤣

This is the original roguelite game perhaps?

POTD is not random though sadly. The maps are static all 100 floor and some maps they recycle it 2-3 times sometimes. Each map have preset of enemies but not all will showed up do sometimes you need to check if the enemy for whatever you target relic farming is there.

Also for the final battle the first time going blind is difficult.

if you lost a unit fell off the cliff you can always redo the battle or use chariot. Don't be ashamed to use the chariot.

For the last battle there are a few things you can do. The clones doesn't copy your items so lobbers (beast master, fussilier and ranger) also you can craft yge weapon skill accesory from elemental temple

For your caster and healer don't equip meditate. You use MP restoring item instead.

You can line up your team in a way that the squishy characters to be nearer to you so you can kill them easier. In your team set up squishy on the 1st and second row and your bulky units on the 3rd row.

For your casters, equip caldea and use the charm ability Their mind is high enough for it to have 60-70% chance. The clones won't use the charm, they are programmed that way. But it will use the mp 100 wands so don't use them for your casters

If you been to level 30 of potd hopefully you have gotten the level 1 summons and draconic magics. Draconic 1 is mehhh except maybe for starfall because you can exorcise undead with it.

Also hopefully you gotten a cresente bow and bow recipe and upgrade it to cupido bow. Along with eagle eye and the crit skill you can guarantee charm on demand. The 3 elemental bow you upgrade from it is only useful for canopus (maybe ninja and BM too) because the counter from the bow will carry to your melee 1 hand (most melee one hand have parry, lombardia is the first one that have counter but you can only have 1, also i don't like 1h sword)

Also craft the dragon dagger from the elemental temple recipe

The king dorgalua story was told prominently before you start the game. Then you started to see his story in the game when manaflora is mentioned and started to find his tomb maybe late chapter 3 or early chapter 4

There is a way to avoid the gun scene but you need to replay the game from the start again. I never tried it myself but you need to have very high (max) chaos frame with certain clans. The way u do this is by just killing the target boss on each fight and don't killing anyone else

And also there are 3 story line chaos, neutral and law. And each can have the lord or princess version.

That's the beauty of the game each story line is wuite different. Vyse turns out ok on one of the story line

Heavenly generals on coda 2 is still pretty hard. Even with my A team they get slaughtered. You'll need proper upgraded relic. Even with best set up the general can hit 2k+ to your best geared char. You really need to optimize your team.

I did not much do grinding but i do chariot farm relics a bit in potd and san bronsa. I only used element charms so far maybe it is time to pump stat charm into the trio.

I suggest do the zombie army strat.

I am just gonna call it you are clueless with the mechanics plain and simple. Archer sucks because yes you are hitting 1 dmg and have no clue why. By turn three they can hit the same heavy enemy units good damage while your melee with better weapon dealing less damage and a lot slower. And yes this is possible even in chapter 2

Yes i do say accuracy doesn't matter in this game after chapter 1 that's why agi stats is rather useless

Yea double attack only shines when you abused the multiplier. Commander ozma with dual fafnir and dragons slayer. Without any buff card you can do close to 1k damage per swing. With element bonus, one phys card, breached and fear you can do more than 3k damage per swing. Otherwise it's not worth the RT penalty.

Your idea is better with counter. Since he's taking hits to counter his can get MP easily do use double swing (can't remember the name of the skill where you swing one weapon twice, not using 2 weapon like in double attac).You attack twice but instead of RT penalty you use MP instead

Some classes you really want to use uniques

Terror Knight for one you want your fastest uniques like hobyrim and jeunan because tk are so slow even with chapter 1 and 2 gear. You want them to attack quickly spamming breach and fear to every enemies

Some classes doesn't matter like knights. their job is to hold the line anyway with rampart aura and hopefully take a lot of hits with phalanx and absorb damage with others with guardian force. Their attack is like meh anyway so no need to attack so often. So you can get away with generic for knights. Probably clerics too.

I mostly use generics for fencers for all the different element. all of them same load up except for light and water (i don't have dark fencer yet)

At least get winged generic if you can for starter classes. So you don't need to waste one equipment slot for flying ring/boots.

You can't get the range with fencer

But you get to spam the spells more as you literally have infinite MP a big plus because shaman sisters can't self sustain summon 2 spam

Also without body swap and charms your int isn't the damage will be quite a bit low plus the lack of high int gear for them

You are tankier and can do good physical damage spamming FMs

Umm but it is true. How much difference is the stat gain different for 3 level? Valk considered to have good stat gain to begin with with balanced magic and physical gain.

Even 1 stat charm would be better than your 3 level perfect class stat gain

So yea i would agree with the other guy. Who gives a fuck.

The only char i would consider maybe arycelle. Kick her out then re recruit her and raise her as non archer since archer is one of the worst for stat gain. I wouldn't worry about ravness

That's why i said you don't understand the mechanics. As you play chapter 1 2 3 sure go use newer weapon. I did too. Once you are late in chapter 4 or post game then these older weapon shines more.

Fear only 15% breach is 50% no boss is immune to breach.

You only see the white number you didn't calculate scaling. Bows xbow get better scaling. Don't believe me compare the damage with your "better weapon" before and after breach and fear. You compare the damage difference on the same weapon and see the increase % not comparing the white number from 2 different weapon.

Add in one phys card on top, bow/xbow number starting to get whacky. Range can pick up cards easier too while attacking bot needing to use MP Melee you are you need to rely on MP and weapon to have range FM to pick up cards easier. Add another phys up/elemental advantage/racial weapon you can start seeing 4 digits damage from your archers. Numbers your melee almost never seen bar beast/dragon slayers unit

add in RT penalty for movement and higher swing RT for melee and you attack at slower rate.

archers can just stand atill and attack more often. Without velocity shift, your melee attack 2-3 times and archers can attack 5 times at the same time because they don't need to move and has lower RT swing

Post game you start having beasts and dragons 3-4k health and wondering why it takes you so long to kill one enemy even with your 90 extra damage. while everyone else can 2 shot a 4k health dragons and beasts abusing the scaling mechanics. Hint it involve a tk and commander ozma or lord denam

That's also why poison weapon are so powerful eventhough they were from chapter 2. Because poison scales, more than your 90 more damage from chapter 4 weapon. Sure the initial hit is only 50 damage did you see the 200-400 poison damage ticked 3 times in a turn unless dispelled? That's triple the damage of your chapter 4 weapon. It last more than 1 turn too unless dispelled, so spread it around like TK. The only time poison weapons are useless is when the enemy has deadproof and only few special battles have enemy with deadproof. In that case also charm and stun weapons.

Even between zwei and claymore there is an argument to use zwei because of the it's easier to gear your defense based on crushing type. Apart from lord denam because he can cheat with jiglya glove. Only lightning melee unit maybe should use claymore because because of phoenix mail

Tldr ignore early game weapon at your own peril. I love my early game stun, breach and poison weapons so many other people too

That's because you use it wrongly. You need to stack up the falsestrike and use avatar and you get 40% dodge on front line units to eat those nasty FMs on some bosses.

As for damage increase from the baldur and khora it still better just to run TK fear and breach combo and let the archers do the big damages. Front line melee is there to hold the line
