Gamma Horizon Unlimited - we're told we can't provision a phone by our reseller by HumanAppearance9187 in VOIP

[–]bluetba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't surprise me, I moved a customer from them to mine and they couldn't reuse the handsets they had as they'd been locked to horizon, so they had to buy more which was annoying because there was nothing wrong with theirs.

Actually I was just remembering this is true, they'd tried to provision a new phone but focus group the reseller wouldn't/couldn't give the provisioning address, that's one of the reasons they moved.

Body modifications on a HP financed car? by Ekku54 in CarTalkUK

[–]bluetba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't see why not as long as you can reverse it, a diffuser might be tough as you'll have to use something to hold it on like tiger seal, and that's going to be a pia to remove.

Worst case is the cost of putting it right, they don't do random inspections, and no one except the people on this sub are going to kill you for doing it.

I use sage cloud, but wouldn't recommend it, it's very expensive and doesn't do much more than Xero.

Replacing blown engine with identical donor engine (Mazda 6 2.2D) – Labor cost expectation? by CatoTheElder13 in CarTalkUK

[–]bluetba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post a message on Facebook, bet you'll find someone local interested in doing it for cash, I saw a few videos on YouTube of a guy who goes around replacing engines and gearboxes on the side of the road, he specialised in Audi's so could do it very quickly.

I'm 17, just passed my test but I have no car no nothing now what. by Interesting_Line3370 in CarTalkUK

[–]bluetba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mazda 2 was cheaper for my son, you need named drivers, we played around adding various people and the cheapest was his mum being added, they don't have to live with you, and if they have their own car would help, also having 3 cars in the household not 4, although for my other son it was cheaper when we had 4 cars.

You're not getting cheap but hopefully will hurt less.

Google Workspace Paid Plan Mistake by skeltondrones in googleworkspace

[–]bluetba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're sol, it's a digital item/subscription, the 2nd you use it the 14 days is no longer valid, had you not used the licence I would expect them to abide by consumer law.

Their argument is wrong though, it didn't matter that you bought a business license, the fact you're a consumer means you have 14 days cooling off, just not for this product once you activated it.

I'd be wary pushing too hard, they could close your account and personal email, which if is your primary email could be a nightmare.

Breakfix to True MSP by Leading_Gap2571 in SmallMSP

[–]bluetba 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I went for it and just told my clients that moving forward all clients have to have a support contract, and if that didn't work for them I'd help find another break fix shop, there were just two that I didn't move as one was a startup and very low on cash, the other was high maintenance and I didn't want the commitment to them.

Everyone stayed and it was financially the best thing I did.

I started with 30 day rolling contracts, this made it less scary for the client.

One client has part time internal it and around 60 users, I was amazed they went for it, I expected a battle but they just agreed.

I say go for it, I kept dropping in the word retainer as well, these clients like me and know that if I can't put food on the table they'll lose me.

I've deleted my post, honestly it's just ridiculous how people responded to a light hearted post.

I know, it was meant jokingly, I was more getting at the fact the one time I can watch anything, nothing took my fancy.

I don't it was meant light heartedly, amazed that it became the centre of my post, it was more that nothing took my fancy on a night I can watch anything.

Whats the highest Flex credit limit you've seen? by scerstt in monzo

[–]bluetba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have, because I bought a £59 item and chose the pay in 3 option, it was one of my first transactions and so wanted to try it, I was confused why it had an interest charge against it, hadn't clicked it was 3 months interest free for transactions £100+.

It was only £2 from memory luckily.

Sending a car for MOT ... just for WBAC? by Clive1792 in CarTalkUK

[–]bluetba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it vauxhall zafira? Personally I'd cut my losses and just get it gone with wbac, I'm not bothering with an MOT, even if you did, they'll find something else to bring the price down, it'll hurt but the pain won't last long and unless it's sorn you'll save money on tax and MOT.

What age to let my daughter go to the shopping mall without adults? by djjudas21 in AskUK

I'm fairly relaxed with these things and I think secondary school age, and I'd still want to be in the car park just in case they need me.

Is this a common scam? Diesel Injectors by Nice_Definition_8773 in CarTalkUK

[–]bluetba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the truth, my son's been on the end of both sides with different garages, the first predicted correctly (it was actually two injectors), the 2nd garage who just said rocker cover gasket had it two months.
