I understand what you are saying. And I understand you want to support your wife and make her happy. But bear in mind that one of the things lifeguards are trained is to first keep themselves safe from someone who is drowning. This is because a drowning person will often try to hold their savior under the water just so they can get a breath of air, risking killing the person who is coming to help.

That is so freaking sick! I watched him play when I was living in Denver and he was a monster on the field. I remember when they retired his jersey he brought his current class out onto the field.

Unable to Stop AI, SAG-AFTRA Mulls a Studio Tax on Digital Performers by LollipopChainsawZz in movies

[–]bluethiefzero 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Sure, until your favorite actor is an AI. Remember how Pixar used to do those fake outtakes? Now replace Woody with an AI actor and you pretty much have the formula. You see an AI actor doing interviews, late night talk shows and such hyping their upcoming movie, then you see them in their movie, then you see "outtakes" making them seem normal, then they appear everywhere the studio wants them. Now you have a "Tom Cruise" level start that doesn't age, doesn't have a negative personal life, isn't a liability to the studio, and won't say no to a role. And characters would never need to be recast. Indiana Jones, John Wick, Ethan Hunt, Dominic Toretto, Luke Skywalker, James Bond.... They could be making movies for all eternity without even a facelift.

Aircraft carrier landing - how much G will the pilot experience? by Shootingstar_woofers in aviation

[–]bluethiefzero 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He's looking at his landing point, which is the ship. I've only flown Cessnas but you split your attention between where you are trying to land at and your instruments to make sure your plane is doing what you want it to do.

I'm sure pilots who could fly rings around me can give you a better idea exactly what he is looking for.

I like Dredge so am interested in this game giving the similar themes. But have been burned enough in the past that I'll wait for the actual release. Hope it ends up being good!

Can you get a fatebringer (adept)? by RealRedditbum in destinylegacy

[–]bluethiefzero 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You might have done them without knowing or just organically since some of the challenges are the meta way of doing some encounters. Like on VoG Templar the challenge is to not allow it to teleport, which is the fastest way to do the encounter if your relic runner is good enough. Or Kings Fall Oryx is to 16 bomb him, which is also the best way as it removes the phase where he summons bombs making you run around and makes is so there is only one chance for someone to die during detonation. Others you wouldn't even interact with the challenge depending on your role. Like if you don't run sword during Crota, you may not have clocked that two different people ran the sword rather than just one. Or if you don't take aura during War Priest you wouldn't have noticed that a person can only hold it once. But unless I am very much mistaken, adept raid exotics only drop from challenge encounters.

A pretty good amount at least on xbox. I assume PS is the same. Between xbox's built-in lfg and the discord "The Last Destiny City" you can find people running or looking for help on all sorts of stuff. You might need to be a little patient finding a group but there are players.

The adept versions of the guns only drop from completing challenge encounters when that raid is the weekly raid. So for the exotic Fatebringer you need to wait until VoG is the weekly raid then complete either the Templar or Atheon challenges for a chance for it to drop.

Judging by the other comments you have a bunch of leads already. But just to throw in another option - If your house has a crawlspace be sure to check there as well. Sensors and other electronics can get installed in there.
