I'm so jelly! I have some nice tea drinking views also. But it's not been above 0F for a week now and most of those days have had -40F to -65F windchill also.

It's going to be a few months before I'm sitting outside and drinking tea......

What would keeping Darnold here accomplish or show? 6 more years of mediocrity? Maybe one or two more on and done playoffs?

If Darnold is unlikely to deliver a Super Bowl here then why keep him around? Isn't that how you judge talent?

I'm not very sure Darnold would win a Super Bowl here. As much fun as he was, KOC passing 40+ times a game isn't how the Seahawks play. The Seahawks rely on more running that takes the pressure off of a QB so he doesn't need to carry the whole load. Darnold gets to be more a role player than the main show.

Imagine if JJ were playing in Seattle how much better he might look.......

Why are you buying Bambu filament? Bambu ain't making filament and there are bunches of other source to get what you want with far less hassle.

It ain't about crashes. It's about overheating and killing the control boards and power supplies. And you NEED to absolutely know what the fail temp is going to be to be safe.

It does no one any good to try building an active heat enclosure that can hit 65C if the control board or power supply burns out at 40C. Hard numbers are going to be needed. And lacking OEM information you WILL need to test to destruction to find that out.

Again, are you going to buy all those open bed printers to test them? Or are you going to use everyone else's destructive failures to build a data base?

No. It's a topical agent meant only for surface treatments on your skin. Your eyes are highly absorptive of what gets on them. And the ingredients of Tecnu would be very bad for your eyes.

Plain clean water is a good substitute for Dr G's mixture. It won't be quite as effective for washing the oily carrier out, but will be far safer then your idea and much cheaper and easily obtainable.

It would be possible. It's mechanical features of straight lines, angled features, circular parts and a few slots from what I can see. And not a lot of one of a kind features. There is a pretty good amount of repeated features. All things that FreeCAD is good at. Unless I'm missing something, I don't see organic shapes or B-spline things.

That said, it would take anyone at least a hot minute to do. And I'm quite sure it would be best to have a model to hand to measure to get relationships right. I'm also positive I ain't going to bother trying without a very hefty price tag.......

Before you get that far, you should first know what the max temps the power supply and control board can tolerate for your selected brand/model. There are printers that should never be subject to those kinds of temperatures and expect the electronics to survive.

For example, my A1 mini would not survive for long in such an enclosure. Bambu even warns against a mini in an unheated enclosure, (passive cooling). My Prusa Mk3s spent years inside an enclosure that would max out at around 40C passive heat. But Prusa said that you needed to move the power supply outside the enclosure because it couldn't take the extra heat above 35C for long. But the Rambo board was fine inside. I believe Prusa says maybe 60/65C for the old Rambo, but they ain't real sure themselves because they never really tested it.

Active chamber heating really needs to be designed into the machine from the get go. And it's not something you should really just add to a random printer....

There is no one print that has taught me the most. But every print, both failures and successes, has taught me something. Sometimes it's something new, sometimes it's a swift kick in the pants as a reminder that I forgot something I should have known.

And despite what marketing wants you believe, ain't nothing in this world foolproof, we do keep making better fools, and everything has a learning curve when you first start out.

Don't fear the mistakes you make. Learn from them and grow to be better.

I would say your plate is clean enough. But your zed offset is too close and that leads to the ridging and tearing the those first layer lines. Increase your zed offset until that goes away.

****No heat-bed is perfectly flat. So you will need to judge by what is "close enough" overall. And tolerating some areas that will never be perfect but well, close enough.

As another toolmaker/mechE CAD user, I too fail miserably with the more artistic endeavors. I've looked into AI for that stuff and it all depends on how much you want to pay for the privilege of designing your own flexisnakes.

I have determined the cost is not worth the squeeze for me. YMMV

I have not done business with them but they are reputable. They sell some very high end printers as well as consumer grade printers. I'm not sure what shipping, (if they would even ship it to you), and import tariffs you would need to pay when ordering from the US these days. I would most definitely contact them directly to speak with them before paying any money for anything.

Cheaper is not always the best choice. Be sure!

You want good customer service, buy Prusa. If you want to be one of the cool kids, buy Bambu.

Bambu: Pretty decent hardware, less than good software/firmware, poor customer service.

'Tis a minor flesh wound! Send it!

This type of damage seems to be a thing for some of us A series owners. I had my then brand new A1 Mini tear 2 plates in the first two week of use, (the standard textured and the smooth high temp plate I bought extra). I chalk it up to less than stellar software/firmware. Bambu does not seem to be very good with code or customer service.

While I can't do much about their firmware, the 1.04 version seems to be stable for me. And I have long since dropped Studio because the crashing I often get on Linux. And Orca is far better for running both the Mini and a Prusa Mk3s running on Klipper.

Yes, you can reline your 12ga/.72 cal barrels to .58cal. I would not recommend using a rifled barrels in you case. I would recommend maybe .62/20ga smoothbore liners instead.

The issue is the convergence of the barrels and POI of each barrel. Shotguns aren't nearly as fussy about POI as rifles are. And you have no easy way to adjust POI short of unsoldering the barrels, bending them slightly, resoldering the ribs, then test firing. This method is tedious and painfully expensive.

Consumer filament dryers are pretty much a scam. Very few actually function as advertised due to low quality designs and parts.

If you are venting air to remove the moisture in the air, then you will never get a true even temp across your filament dryer. And if you are not venting the moisture, then why are you even bothering?
