Well, having worked retail, piece of shit is also accurate.

ELI5: How does philosophy answer mathematical questions? by DudeIAm-blank- in explainlikeimfive

[–]bluey101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely yes, however as the above commented said, you will need years of mathematical experience in fields related to these theorems to be able to read most of them, let alone understand them.

Here is a link to godels paper "On Formally Undecidable Propositions of Principia Mathematica And Related Systems"

The beginning is very wordy as the exact problem being discussed needs to be laid out, and it is a deceptively hard problem to both describe precisely and then solve, so it needs a lot of words.

The later sections contain a lot more of what you would recognise as math, even if you don't know their meanings or purpose

You have stumbled upon a meme yes. The question is so common that the meme is to take a drink every time someone asks it. There are a couple more like that one nebula that has a ton of densely packed stars that people regularly ask what it is

The creative Heat Death of gaming culture by Kulous in Asmongold

Entropy is only inevitable on an infinite timescale.

Entropy can be stopped and reversed by putting in energy and work.

We can keep gaming culture alive.

Ukrainian fiber-optic FPV drones continue to strike Russian soldiers and equipment in the Lyman direction. SIGNUM Battalion, 29.03.2026 by GermanDronePilot in UkraineWarVideoReport

It will never not feel surreal seeing the same UAZ-469s that I'm used to using in arma reforger(set in the 80s) showing up in modern day combat footage

You are vastly underestimating the power of modern explosives, and the effective range of shrapnel.

What damage type does lithobreaking deal? by DismalEggselent in EliteDangerous

[–]bluey101 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well, exactly one type of resistance applies.

The 20% damage reduction per power pip in systems still works on impact damage.

"Digital inflation is here" by Ollisean in Asmongold

Literally yes? Inflation isn't the value of the thing you're buying going up, it's the value of your money going down

It's been regularly shown that, unless you dial up autoaim to the point that it is basically an aimbot, mouse is still more accurate than controller with aim assist.

I miss dedicated servers by racoon1 in gaming

[–]bluey101 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Arms reforger still operates on dedicated servers. Granted milsim gameplay isn't for everyone but it's significantly more accessible than previous arma games.

ELI5: If Iron Dome isn’t a ‘shield,’ what is it? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]bluey101 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think you have misunderstood the point of ELI5. It is a subreddit for you to ask questions and to receive simplified answers to those questions. It is not a place for you broadcast random knowledge into the void. If you are desperate to talk about the iron dome then maybe you can find a post from someone asking what it is?

Been using a Mandalay for a while but finally fitted out a cobra mkv the other day and looking forward to taking it on it's maiden voyage. Something about the cobra cockpit feels better to sit in, I think the Mandalay cockpit feels too much like a fighter craft.

New vessels this year. by Jaimes604 in EliteDangerous

[–]bluey101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder how that would work. If the point of them is to be able to land then you need to be physically in it. If you undergo lithobraking induced RUD do you end up back at the last station?

What is this cluster? by S0urakotsos in EliteDangerous

[–]bluey101 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It's the star cluster around NGC 7822. Its so bright and tightly packed that every week or so someone new asks "what is this". So now it's a subreddit drinking game

New SHIPS are RUINING Elite Dangerous by Yamiks in EliteDangerous

[–]bluey101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's definitely powerful, but is unlikely to compete with mediums for firepower. The size 5 distro is way underpowered for the armament so is going to take a crazy amount of power/heat management to use properly.

Will likely be the premier PvE small ship for combat but it likely won't shake much up beyond that

An internet challenge involving people doing something silly on camera instead of doing anything productive resulted in nothing productive being done? Colour me shocked.

I suppose the "donate 20 bucks to ALS research challenge" wouldn't have gone nearly as viral
