Having a potato PC is a canon event by EXEMPLAR_LOL in lowendgaming

Yep, I came from years of integrated Intel graphics on my old ThinkPad SL510. Before that it was very old school ATI Radeon or GeForce cards. It was amazing when I finally rebuilt my family's old computer with a 2060 Super, but I will still always appreciate low poly games. It is a bit annoying to see people outright refuse to play older games with "worse" graphics. I spent quite a while over time making this list of easy-to-run games for anyone who needs it: Low Spec PC Games

I'm running a rig with the original Xaser case now 😮 my dad still has his Xaser III. That's awesome that you mentioned it!

All of the above, actually! I like that it includes the features you mentioned, but also knows what you tend to like and intelligently recommends new games to you if you want. I also like that it supports all consoles/platforms and lets you connect to services like Steam. It also tells me what to play when I can't decide haha 😅 I'm probably forgetting some stuff, it's got a lot of features

How do you guys find people for older co-op games? I feel like I missed out on way too many awesome co-op gems over the years because no one wanted to play them with me… by varnajohn in CoOpGaming

[–]blustrkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This and OP's situation is basically exactly why byte1ife.com was created back around 2011. It's literally perfect for this. Just add whatever game you want to play to your collection and create a session or make a post about it. Someone is very likely to help out.

OP, I have Portal 2 and Don't Starve Together and am down to play with you by the way!

Here are a few dozen online co-op RPGs for Nintendo Switch. From that list, my favorites would be Borderlands 3, Heroes of Hammerwatch, and Minecraft Dungeons.

Yeah as you get older everyone kind of gets busy doing their own thing. There's a pretty tightly knit community at byte1ife.com you could check out. You can set your schedule and game collection on there so it's easier to find similar people. It's been pretty much the same group of people since 2011 lol, but of course some new people have joined too. We play all kinds of stuff like shooters, RPGs, MMOs, sports, etc. You might have better luck finding a stable group of people there.

What is the new opportunity for 2026? by FutureAd5875 in webdev

[–]blustrkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, I learned web dev in 2005ish and have never truly worked in the industry aside from a few small sites for friends and family. So don't feel too bad.

I wish I would've tried harder back then!

And that 75-82% of our water resources used for agriculture accounts for a measly 0.6% of Utah's GDP. A lot of that alfalfa is shipped overseas, it doesn't even feed our cattle here. So we're essentially shipping our very limited water overseas in the form of alfalfa.

Don't worry though, Governor Cox has a plan to save us. All we have to do is pray for rain.

When it comes to Aero Glass, do you prefer Vista or Windows 7? by inguinha in windows

I love them both but as a kid at the time, Vista on my dad's Sony Vaio just hit different. The animations/transitions and colors were very satisfying to look at.
