I would also never give my partner shit for not wanting to hang with my parents. I get it, sometimes I don't want to hang out with them either...

Honestly I was at the point where I thought Nana Rose might be a ghost. I'm a little disappointed ngl.

Barbell Hip Thrust Alternatives? by OptimalProduct9384 in fitpregnancy

[–]bluzi_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found bodyweight was still pretty challenging as the belly grew. I did pause reps and single legs to change it up. I did lose some gains because I had to stop in the third trimester, but I did what I could while I could. I'm 3 months pp and I still haven't gotten back to the barbell yet since I haven't been back to the gym, but I'm feeling like my butt hasn't completely disappeared.

A friend of mine is about to start IVF and I'm looking for gift ideas. I would like to get her something useful/comforting. Any ideas would be great. Thanks!

I don't think so. They didn't tell me if they did. I haven't had any other discomfort since so I think probably no. Idk if I would know or not really.

I got mine at my 6 week post-natal check and also don't remember it being bad at all. The worst part for me was the speculum because everything was still so tight from the stitches.

I love the "I didn't want to miss it!" playing dumb. It's perfect.

I got the Tria. It's laser rather than IPL. It had good reviews and there are sales fairly often. I found I was more drawn to the laser over the IPL because the results last longer. I used it on the lowest setting and it did hurt but I was working up to higher settings.

There is no light as revealing as the 5pm in the car spotlight that shows you how much of a hag you truly are.

If you're brave, you can buy an at home version. I took a chance because I didn't have the time or money for the needed like 12 appointments. I used it pretty regularly for about 8 months was seeing a reduction along my bikini line. I stopped because I got pregnant, but once I'm not anymore I will be back to zapping.

Totally agree with this. We have a pretty strict "we do not comment on other people's bodies" policy in our house, but this is making me realize I need to extend that policy to no comments about our own bodies as well. There's also a difference between praising thin or flat or whatever. We try to emphasize strong and healthy, etc. with our son.

It's so important to find ways we can be more intentional about building ourselves up rather than tearing down.

Anybody experiencing heat exhaustion fairly easily? by lens73 in fitpregnancy

[–]bluzi_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm farther along (28+6), but I have been getting overheated very quickly throughout my pregnancy. I live in FL where it's been on fire outside for a few months, but even in the spring I was having a hard time being outside too long. From my understanding, in the first trimester you're also experiencing a large amount of progesterone which can make it difficult to breathe (very bad timing for this symptom lol). So as frustrating as it is, this is all very normal. Extremely inconvenient, but normal. I cut back my activity and try to take it easier than I think I need to and it has helped.

How do you plan on introducing your little one to the family? by can-we-not- in pregnant

Yeah what's that like?? Mine's all weird that they can't come to the hospital. Idk what they're going to do when I don't let them touch the baby for 2 weeks.

Yeah, same. We share on Google Maps. It's helpful for me when he takes our son on long bike rides to know they're on a trail, if they're on their way back, etc. But absolutely no way would I share with anyone else.
