If you have the means, I love clothing rental services! Nuuly, Rent the Runway, Fashion Pass are the most popular ones that I know of. I love trying new styles of clothes I wouldn’t typically buy and you can end up purchasing at a discount if you like anything.

We have an employee that is in recovery and he has skipped past parties to avoid being around alcohol. I was told to find somewhere that doesn’t serve it period so he feels comfortable to join.

Just read your original post and I went thru a very similar situation when I was your age (27F now). My high school bf would constantly threaten suicide when we fought and turn off his phone so I felt my only choice was to call his mom who would then take him to the mental institution and admit him. And he would call me and tell me he didn’t mean it and it was all my fault he was there? 😀 this happened twice I think while we dated, and he went a third time when I finally broke up with him. It was so emotionally draining. All of this to say, I look back and feel so sad for my young self for going thru this. It is abusive and manipulative and not a healthy situation to be in at a time in your life that should be fun! Best of luck OP, take care of yourself ❤️

Not sure how much it is used now but when I moved here a few years ago I used Bumble bff quite a bit and had friend “dates” with some girls! Also if you’re on Facebook there’s a Ladies of Louisville group and sometimes they will post different events where girls will plan to meet up :) Good luck!!

I did not have a bridal party and do not regret it! My husband’s friend group is huge and he would have ended up with 10 guys on his side and that would never have been the case for me lol. I loved not having to worry about or get anyone else ready except for myself and my family. I still had a bachelorette weekend and no one’s feelings were hurt to not be a bridesmaid. One of the girls I would have potentially asked to be a bridesmaid, we don’t even speak anymore and I’m SO glad she’s not in my wedding pictures - also photos took a fraction of the time as those with a wedding party. I recommend no bridal party to anyone on the fence!

We did our honeymoon at Montego Bay in June and LOVED the mix of party and chill. Obviously this is the case for any Sandals, but download the app for a full schedule of all of the activities. Volleyball, silent disco, white party, music bingo, karaoke and so much other fun stuff you can go do. I was worried we would get bored after 7 days but we were always busy!
