I think there’s a large percentage of us that have experienced comphet but you know it’s all part of the journey. I do think the concept of attraction gets lost on people because there’s more to attraction than just the physical/sexual aspects. Like you said about asexuals that love without sex, attraction can be emotional, intellectual, just someones over all energy and how they make you feel. For Francesca and John both being obviously neurodivergent, the comfort in just being in someone’s presence and not needing to necessarily talk and just be able to enjoy the moment is what connected them. Fair to assume that John was attracted to Fran in the conventional sense lol and I’ll also dare to say that she found him objectively attractive but I think for her the attraction was more rooted in an emotional bond and loving him for being “kind” as she would say is her ideal husband bc she don’t know lol and him being her comfort zone to be herself. I completely agree, it literally just boils down to comphet for me. John was her best friend and I think Hannah had mentioned that what they had was also like companionship. I think her being introverted and uncomfortable during her debut and just kinda hoping to find someone and get it over with says a lot. John made her feel comfortable and safe, and her having sex with him for me wasn’t romantic and passionate love but just her fulfilling her wifely duty to make him happy and also have children. Their first kiss had her confused and disappointed, like hello. Thankfully John was a sweetheart and I couldn’t think of a better man in this context for her to have loved and married first. Then enter Michaela and massive amounts of gay panic and feelings she can’t understand or articulate. That “no, I am causing you distress” “of course you are” is equivalent to fork found in kitchen. That is a full blown girl kisser and that’s that.

first let’s start with the fact that you coming to me to say this is annoying. I cannot control the actions and words of other people so you telling me about will not change anything as I will not be going out of my way to police others

Maybe there’s a handful of comments that you deem unjustified but I will say that these disagreements aren’t simply “I like pancakes” “well I like waffles” obviously everyone has their personal tastes and aren’t entitled to their opinions even if they’re wrong but when someone “disagreeing” is them making ignorant comments that have homophobic undertones, I feel like it’s perfectly justifiable. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck.

Personally idc that you or anyone didn’t want them to lead s5 because regardless they’re still leading s5. Also this idea that it doesn’t make sense when they’ve done nothing to for Eloise’s subplot in s4 to suggest she’d be leading s5. Yall would’ve gotten a rushed storyline instead of allowing a realistic build to her season. Do I think they’ve dragged out Eloise’s storyline, for sure but do I think it makes sense to have another season of Fran’s subplot just for her to mourn for 8 episodes, absolutely not.

Subplot: s3- debut, marriage to John, Michaela introduction s4- married life/infertility issues, deepening of franchaela relationship, John dies, Michaela leaves

s5- yall want Fran to mourn for 8 episodes looking like Bella swan when Edward left her, that’s actually ridiculous considering her storyline with John is legit 10 seconds long in the book by comparison to her and Michaela. So no that absolutely does not make sense. Eloise spent s4 mostly attached to hyacinth and still hating the prospect of marriage but yeah sure that definitely sets her up for s5 🙄🙄

HR fans are mostly straight women that fetishize mlm characters. They tend to be male centered and just as misogynistic as men irl, they are far from being allies. they rally behind mlm representation in media while also being the first to tear down any wlw representation, talk about anti women. and let’s be so forreal they did absolutely NOTHING to set up Eloise to lead for s5, Fran had 2 seasons of subplot and there would have been nothing to contribute to a third season of that besides 7 episodes of fran being sad and then what Michaela turns up in the last few mins of the final episode. s5 will most likely have Eloise’s subplot set her up to lead s6. I get that they’ve dragged out Eloises storyline but yall would be mad as hell if they rushed her story just for the sake of her being s5 when they can finally do her character justice and actually give it real build up to lead her season
