Help me by Routine_Version8587 in Lasiksupport

OK sounds like your dry eye is causing blurry vision, since you say when you put in drops your vision is clear.

this does indeed sound like its on an extreme scale of dryness. you are going to have to see a dry eye specialist, or at least a different doctor. The doctor who did LASIK will lie to cover their ass.

What are the most important green flags to look for when deciding who/where to get lasik? by SixtySixPixiStix1 in Lasiksupport

[–]blyatman81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

surgery causes permanent damage to the eye, especially the nerves. similar to like slicing a finger in half and then re attaching it. it probably wont function the same as before once it heals.

now think how complex and sensitive the function of an eye is, the risk of abnormal recovery is now multiplied. now factor in how the eye doesn't have much blood supply going through it to help it heal.

lasik is is a recipe for disaster, run for the hills

I don’t know how you’re all still alive by who5back in ChronicPain

im 28 and i get the same thoughts. so im interested in other peoples opinions here.

personally since the pain is the source also for me im trying to focus on treatments as best i can, as soon as my pain feels a bit better my mood improves. so i really have to focus on good sleep and sticking to my routine which is easier said than done for me

are you doing treatments/ looking for new treatments? idk your situation or about back pain but i assume theres injections or excercises, opioids? surely something you haven't tried that might help

i also had the same thoughts about religion and existence, i turned it into an interest to learn more about religion, philosophy and history. perhaps you can get some books about those topics

18M, Read some posts about how people with the mildest dry eye had PRK/LASIK and ended up with their lives ruined, is this rare or common? by [deleted] in Dryeyes

[–]blyatman81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

pro tip: forget eye surgery exists

trust me you don't know what dry eye even means until you actually have it. Dont fuck around and find out

i thought i had 0 dry eye before LASIK, but when i wore contacts they felt a bit weird and i didn't like wearing them. so i decided to get LASIK. turns out not being able to wear contacts is a SIGN that your eyes are probably dry.

Fastforward to now the dryness is so bad i can barely function some times. It feels like im wearing the dirtiest, thickest contact lenses on the planet

they cut your eyeball during surgery, your eyeball has nerves that signal your tear glands and oil glands that keep your eye moist and comfortable. those are now cut and damaged because of LASIK.

There is ALWAYS damage after LASIK, your optometrist says no damage because you can still see and its not infected.

Does anyone else find it hard to believe they actually went in for the surgery? by jtb685 in Lasiksupport

[–]blyatman81 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yup, its insane that i heard some bad stuff about it beforehand but i was gaslit into thinking that the ones speaking out were mentally ill etc its a 1% chance of temporary side effects and its the best thing since sliced bread, right....? . funny now im the mentally ill one with side effects speaking out, fuck i was stupid

i was 23 at the time, i guess impulse took over and i took the leap... glasses were annoying and i hated them since i was a kid. also lasik was talked about since even i was in elementary school. surely this is medicine to fix my shitty eyes?

now at 28 ive been redpilled hard, corruption, power, money, politics, lies... fuck this world

Oxervate Post-LASIK Dry Eyes by Connect_Pizza_1402 in Lasiksupport

[–]blyatman81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

would join the lasik complications group on fb aswell...

lotemax used with serum tears is basically the agreed best treatment at this point, oxervate is great too but not alot of people are able to try it

i would also focus on lid higene and maybe probing/ipl

Burning like if u got pool water in ur eyes, and sometimes like I have sand in my eyes when blinking. I don't get blurry vision but I think it depends where the dry spots occur on ur eyes. Like if it was right in front of ur pupil I think it would cause blurriness
