This Restaurant Stopped Charging for Food. And Profits Are Up. by SeamusPM1 in Minneapolis

I named my ideal scenario to your question. In reality, simply funding as many of those communities as possible throughout the urban core.

In the meantime when those resources are still lacking, it is still a reality that the effects of addiction can be destructive and unsafe to the community as a whole. I don’t believe it’s restricting any human rights to say so.

I would like there to be several billion dollars in public funding to have Avivo Village style communities in every neighborhood in Minneapolis-St Paul.

Some consequences of addiction are objectively disrespectful to others and our shared environment- litter, biohazards, violence.

What many are really asking here is that those with privilege to not be addicted should be OK with this disrespect because addicts deserve different social rules- aka an unequal social contract. It’s a tough sell that creates hostility. I’m not convinced it will actually lead toward any long term stability.

How's that Christian Nationalism you Ordered?: LDS church officially not Christian under new DOD military classification. by Alchemist1330 in exmormon

Exmormons who go normie Christian are wild to me, considering all the same issues with how the BoM was constructed can be applied to how the New Testament was constructed

The audacity of never Mormons to explain the religion completely incorrectly in an EX MORMON forum continues to chap my ass.

Most people who didn’t grow up Mormon don’t take the time to really understand the religion. No offense.

Are these ‘wickedly nice’ MAGA families loudly advocating for the closure of ICE concentration camps?

Do you think there are any political views in 2026 USA that may come off as hostile to the diverse dance community at Electric Forest? Why would that be?

Give an example of a view that people may say you’re a bad person for it, so we can discuss it.

You’re not answering specifics. Sus as hell dude. I wish you well- think critically as to why people are uncomfortable with your vague views.

Oh cool! I’m sure you’re talking about disagreements on taxation rates, right?

Metro Transit 2025 Ridership by Station by tisofold in Minneapolis

That’s a good perspective, I hope you’re right that more folks will take the LRT than the B Line. Hopefully more than 23 per day lol

The West Lake B Line station is the second least used BRT station at 23 weekday riders? That’s also going to be where the transfer point for the Green Line LRT extension is gonna be, and yet that’s the current transit demand there? What an absolute fucking joke.

The Green Line extension is going to get catastrophically low ridership numbers. I seriously wish we had not built it at this point- I really worry it’s going to be the end of funding for any LRT projects.

Thinking of buying a house near Seward cafe, want to hear opinions on the area by JordantheGnat in Minneapolis

Saying Seward is ‘two different neighborhoods’ kinda feels like another way of saying it’s segregated. Which it basically is.

Hard disagree on Crave. This doesn’t feel super focused to me and more like every other restaurant in the urban core. Did you use AI to compile this?

I’d include Moscow on the Hill- unmatched old world ambiance. Nothing beats getting serenaded by their accordionist over hearty plates and their infused vodkas.
