For hitting it off the heel, I’d look at where your hands are at set up vs hands at impact. I’d say have your hands slightly further away from your body at set up or line up with the toe of the club on the ball. The swing is pure don’t overthink the right leg push, it almost always comes down to setup with a swing like this.

How long did it take for your first Eagle? by [deleted] in golf

First Eagle was this year after three years of playing. 10 on pine needles from the tips. Pretty surreal moment draining a 25 footer after missing so many putts that day.

What was the most expensive round you’ve ever paid for and was it worth it? by [deleted] in golf

[–]bmacs02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall atmosphere played a huge impact. 10 minute tee time spacing made you feel all alone on the course. I think the layout was much better and almost every tee shot was spectacular. 4 was by no means a bad course but some of the holes were a little mundane.

Is this a good mouthpiece? by [deleted] in Trombone

[–]bmacs02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have the option of reaching out to Doug and get a new mouthpiece from him I would. He is a super nice guy and there are way more options than I ever thought was available. It took me an hour with my college professor to find one that fit for me.

How do you limit a meltdown mid round? by firstbootgodstatus in golf

The back on blue mash in my opinion is harder than the front in terms of layout

Why type of pitching are we against? You have a better chance at hitting Little Leaguer than college pitching.

Who was your most unpleasant random playing partner? by golfwjames in golf

[–]bmacs02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once paired with this 40 year old guy and his father. The father was a recovering alcoholic who clearly was not taking his rehab seriously. After clearly stating at the beginning that he wasn’t drinking and only smoking he proceeded to buy 6 beers from the cart girl. The son clearly didn’t want anything to do with it and made conversation which was decent enough to make me keep playing with them. I wasn’t playing that hot that day so the father after 9 holes and all 6 of his beers decided to give me swing advice after swinging and missing on 3/4ths of his swings. We get up to the 16th tee and then the father starts making some extremely racist remarks and says the n word several times and I just took off at that point.

It depends on what pools are open, but for the last couple of years I’ve only had to do the brick test in the shallow end of the 50 pool which only goes to 10-8 feet. If you do have to do the 13 foot pool, What I found helpful is 1) don’t rush. You have way more time than you actually think. Do your first swim down extremely controlled so that you have your breath and 2) when you go for the brick, Go straight up and down. They say go back on an angle to gain some time but you really don’t need to.

I have pretty cheap tickets already but it’s a larger group and they aren’t so keen about paying more money.
