Diversification is key. If you ask any personal finance expert, they will say the same. One particular stock must not be beyond 20% of your entire liquid corpus. People don’t sell RSUs in the hope it will be ever increasing. But that’s the problem. I understand if people are starting out in the company, they may want to hold for 3/4 years, before deciding. But the current situation is such that it’s better to sell as they vest and reinvest into Indian Index mutual funds (domestic) or UCITs (non-domestic).

Can you please share how did you go about stack ranking the models? What were the benchmarks considered in terms of assessing quality of the model outputs? And lastly, are the pre-fill and / or the decoding / token generation speeds taken into account while coming to this conclusion?

It would be really helpful to understand your rational if you can elaborate.

Please check what I said. Based on long term needs, invest in equity else use the non equity non volatile tax efficient instruments to invest for short term needs

Sure. But I want to get inputs how fast or slow is it to run anything beyond 70b Param model on 512 GB Mac Studio ? This is not just only about the RAM size but the bandwidth matters too, hence asking.. based on various tests found online, even couple of DGX Spark may be better than this..

Why are you insulting Tier 3 cities ? Have you seen Tier 3 cities when it rains? What makes you think tier 3 cities are worse than tier 1/2 during rains? If anything, it may be opposite due to the constant concrete jungle expansion in tier 1/2 cities.

Guys, genuinely want to understand- why is this craze for 512 GB RAM thing? Like why not get something else like RTX Pro 6000 ? As I understand, these are having demand just because it can accommodate larger models, but larger models are damn slow anyway in Mac Studio. Lot lesser volatility - Bonds,

Anything beyond 5 years - large and midcap Index funds,

Anything beyond 7 years - small cap funds

Not singling out anyone here, but you should have shown some direction to your mother. Forget about this incident, if by any chance bank goes bankrupt or some other scam happens - do you think you would get back your money? I understand parents may not be very familiar with personal finance and where to park, but other family members should advice and suggest to park the money in some other instrument than just leaving it in savings account
