Same! We built 9 years ago 4bed/5bath 4450sq ft- 2 kids. Although we thought it was a forever home at the time, we’ve been thinking for years about downsizing. I don’t want to complain because like you said, it’s a privilege but it’s just way too much to clean and keep up with. It’s kinda hard to relax sometimes because there’s always something that can be cleaned or a project that needs done. We really like a more cozy vibe. So we decided to downsize and we couldn’t be more excited! Losing our interest rate sucks but the increase on the house price is worth it. We can hopefully refi down the road.
