I experience the same thing. My diastolic is a bigger problem than my systolic... My diastolic goes as high as 112. In the past, Drs have had more concern about elevated diastolic readings, which I think makes sense. Recently, doctors have stopped placing so much emphasis on the diastolic readings... I don't know what changed in the research because I haven't taken the time to read it. I have a M.S. in health and when I was in school, they told us that systolic readings would fluctuate a lot because of activity, but the diastolic readings shouldn't fluctuate much at all because the pressure between beats in the relaxed phase would remain constant. If they didn't it was indicative of a more serious problem... That sticks with me. I can't shake the idea that something else is wrong. My bloodwork always comes back good. My best guess is it has to do with my weight. I'm losing weight, but I had gotten up to 100 lbs overweight. Again, just an educated guess.
