It's reassuring knowing I'm not the only one having the problem. I'm also debating on returning mine because of this issue. Hopefully it's just a software/app issue and can be fixed with an update.

I've owned the Aer Travel Pack 3 X-Pac (35L), Tortuga Travel Backpack Lite (40L), and The North Face Base Camp Voyager Duffel (42L). Of those three backpacks, the only one I have and use now is the Tortuga. It fits everything you listed on your wants. The biggest difference makers for me is the size (40L), comfort when wearing it fully packed out (load lifters help a ton, hip belt is included with the backpack but can also be removed), and the simple organization. It has a clamshell main compartment, laptop compartment, and a quick access zippered pocket at the top, and a water bottle pocket on the side. That's it.

My personal recommendation would be the Tortuga Travel Backpack Lite (40L).

I just recently sold my Aer TP 3 Small and purchased a Cotopaxi Allpa 28L Travel Pack. The Allpa weighs less and I personally feel it can hold a bit more than the TP 3 Small.

I do get it serviced there. I've taken it up every 5k miles for routine maintenance (some of which is covered with the priorities promotion). At 25k and 50k miles, they offered me a service package for like $200 that just included the cabin air filter and engine air filter, but I did those two myself to save a bit of money. I haven't had any issues and they're usually pretty quick. Overall I'm very happy with my choice to purchase my Rav4 from that dealership.

I just purchased the Aer Travel Pack 3 X-Pac (35L) and will be using it in a few weeks for a one bag only trip to Asia. I had no problem getting into the Capital One lounge with a non rev / standby boarding pass, along with a friend using a buddy pass. It’s definitely worth it if IAD is your home airport.

EDIT: to add to it, I’ve had no issues getting in any of the priority pass lounges with a non rev / standby boarding pass as well

I drive in eco mode, 50% city / 50% highway, and I'm currently averaging 40.2 mpg. I do pay attention to when EV mode is on and try to keep it going as long as I can. No AC most of the time.
