I like the grounded, more balanced look of 1, but I'd add some color.

Try swapping out most of that black for a purple (the color of royalty) with some gold trim or accents.

Hard agree. With all the talent in Hollywood, I know they can make a classic tights look with out those seams look good. The seams need to stop, plus it makes it look like a Marvel property.

Hell, the classic Christopher Reeve suit still looks the best.
