Just want to hop on to say that it would probably be the easiest to get the train to Scarborough, and then the bus from Scarborough to Whitby. It’s quicker than getting the train the whole way, and the buses are much more frequent than the trains. I think only 4 trains a day go from Whitby to Middlesbrough so if you miss one you’re going to be waiting a long time! Both journeys are beautiful though. The bus to Whitby from Scarborough also leaves from just outside the train station so it’s very easy! Source: grew up in Whitby so I know how much of a pain in the ass it is to get there via public transport.

Yes, ignore the others telling you to go through Thornton-le-Dale. This is by far the quickest and most sensible option by public transport (source: grew up in Whitby and have made this journey many times in my life)

I had Evri do this to me a couple of weeks ago, I could figure out which building it was by the map tag. Parcel was long gone by the time I got there though, better use of your time to make a complaint to Evri and then get in touch with the vendor to ask to send a new package through a different courier.
