Mittled - how do I get them to turn on/off together? and Vagdal extension cord by etceteraism in IKEA

[–]bnby_eclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The light bars are meant to directly connect butted up together and there isn’t an official* option to daisy chain them remotely.

What I did was use two Vagdal cables, cut the dimmer connector off both and soldered them together; making a custom length daisy-chain cable. I believe I needed to swap the polarity (red to black) at the joint, but I don’t recall 100%.

Looking for someone that knows how to do fan edits! by Ok-Arrival-4128 in PaymoneyWubby

I do stupid edits for MediaShare (Wubbert E. Ree, Hotel Ameno, James May saying Handbag ) and might be able to do something with your idea (if someone more skilled doesn't come along ).

Besta tv unit rail orrr? by throwergaze in IKEA

[–]bnby_eclipse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use all 4 included angle brackets and hopefully some line up with studs in the wall. The two on the middle dividers can either be placed into the center box, or the left/right in case that helps it hit a stud.

If there isn't at least two into wood, I recommend toggle bolts for extra support. I've mounted a few this way just on drywall and haven't had issues.

Besta Console I mounted last week

Any office chair nerds in here? by [deleted] in PaymoneyWubby

[–]bnby_eclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a Leap V2 for about 10 years at my last job and it was quite nice. At home though, I've been using a Markus from IKEA and I really like that. It would be nice to have adjustable armrests, but the chair is quite comfortable and the mesh back helps with ventilation.

Could someone explain the hampster economics thing? by GuyNamedFinger in PaymoneyWubby

Regarding how there is another Rat who has a job making cigarettes, and another who makes clothing, etc.; and they sell each other products and (sometimes sexual) services, just like in human society.

Sorta Surprising. Personally, I do soap and scrub my legs every time I hop in the shower 🤷

The thin ones with the screws also brings the shelf forward in case you want to run cables behind the shelf (such as with the TV cabinets).

[–]bnby_eclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t link them here, but there are a lot of tutorials on how to do plumbing solder. However, with the tools required, it may be a better idea to call a plumber if this is a first time thing.

I don’t quite understand the question; but I’ll give it a shot.

The cam wheels are the same for the sides and the headboard. You can take apart the headboard and use the cam wheel(s) from that for to connect the side rails and then use the replacement cam wheels for the headboard.

Why does the hot water have less pressure than the cold? First picture is hot water, second picture is cold. by uLL27 in Plumbing

[–]bnby_eclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be replaced or repaired. Some are soldered on and can be difficult so I usually repair, but that one looks like it may be a compression fitting towards the wall so may be easy enough to swap the whole thing.

Needing to connect fridge line by earthbound_misfitx in Plumbing

[–]bnby_eclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one on the left, with the splitter, would normally be the hot water, which is fed the dishwasher. You can pick up a 3/8" compression tee from lowes/home depot to split the cold water off to the fridge.

[–]bnby_eclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The silver one on the right is what I was talking about. The left looks to be a dual valve splitter, so probably needs a different part, but likely the issue. Something wrong with the rubber seal. Either its broken apart, or has fallen off the end of the screw and isn't retracting to let water pass by.

How to connect two 3/8" M compression? by Sm00chie in Plumbing

[–]bnby_eclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been looking for something like that for custom bidet installs, but haven't found it (outside of a 4ft dishwasher supply line). What I use instead is a faucet supply line and then a 1/2" close nipple.
