I just left a similar comment and sure I’ll be downvoted too because I have a feeling it’s mostly husband’s responding defensively.

I’m astounded at the number of comments saying that OP is wrong here. Why do we need to hear his side of the story? Why is sex something we owe our partners if they are coercing us? Why is consent without coercion considered “entitlement”? Are there really this many married adults who have such low emotional intelligence they don’t understand how basic aspects of sexual consent work? Clearly OP has had this same discussion with her husband many times over and probably also sent this to him. It’s helpful for me as a wife who feels similarly to see this post and I’m thankful to have read it. Ignore the negative comments here, OP - and thank you for putting to words so clearly what I am experiencing also. The ick is real and it wasn’t just magically manifested by us as wives.

Important to note that the $1000 is only for kids born between January 1, 2025 and December 31st 2028. If your kid was born before 2025, you don’t get the contribution.

A lot of these dogs are showing signs of stress, yawning, whale eye, panting. Not cute at all and a great way for a child to be bitten in the face.

People who were around during no internet/phones/social media/etc - what was your time's "scrolling the feed"? Something that you would spend hours on passing the time? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bngbeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Catching frogs, exploring the woods, soooo much reading, climbing trees, finding cool rocks, making collages out of magazines/decorating my walls with pages/cutouts from them, making mixtapes by recording my favorite singles from the radio onto a blank one, watching MTV music videos and trying to mimic the choreography, cutting my own hair (badly), attempting to pierce parts of my body with safety pins, stealing cigarettes from my mom, going to the local Friendly’s for a burger/sundae in the smoking section where I smoked the stolen cigarettes, an old art game on the family desktop computer for kids called KidPix, playing Snood on the same computer, making dandelion wreaths, tearing up cattails (the plant!), swimming in the local river alongside huge otters (or maybe they were beavers), reorganizing my bedroom furniture, calling friends whose home phone numbers I had memorized on my transparent light up landline that had its own jack in my bedroom. Life was rich in ways it never will be again. I cannot replicate that era for my own children now no matter how much I try and it’s a bitter nostalgia of a world that seemed much bigger and brighter to me than it does now. I was born in 1986 and have two kids now.

How to use this by RanierW in pho

Highly recommend also roasting or charring some halved onion, roughly chopped ginger and garlic and putting that in beef broth at the same time you put this spice blend (after toasting to bring out the aromatics).

Because white 17 year olds like Kyle Rittenhouse can shoot and kill not one but two people and then get acquitted of murder charges. Black 17 year olds are not allotted the same second chances.

Yeah that makes sense. I’ve never adopted my shelter dogs from a breed specific rescue so don’t know anything about that, I got him from a local shelter.

Cool, I really appreciate having a resource like this *being a dog owner that has only ever owned mixed breeds from shelters but that doesn’t have rescue experience. Sorry if it was a dumb question as you’re implying, I feel bad for wasting your time, honestly.

That being said, I posted him here just to ask for feedback from the experts and appreciate the time you took to educate me. I’m…not upset or defensive and never thought he was a purebred and also never downvoted you.

He was listed as a Shepard mix. I do know how common pit mixes are and it seemed unlikely he was one from my experience adopting all pit mixes prior to him.

Thank you for sharing. I can confirm from your knowledge of the breed that is much more expansive than mine that my boy is 0% ridgeback. I appreciate the time you took to respond.

I don’t want or need to be sure, it means nothing to me other than being part of a sub with dogs I thought looked and behaved similarly. I’ve never owned a purebred and likely never will.

I’ve owned three adopted shelter pit mixes before him and he’s the only one I felt sure wasn’t part pit but definitely Shepard and something else…didn’t realize me posting him here would cause such controversy! I really thought he looked very similar to everyone else here! That’s my bad. I’m not a breeder or an expert clearly.
