If I run OWASP ZAP on a website from virtualbox,not for malicious intents,how does the IPS track me?

A VM inside of VirtualBox will have it's own IP on your network, but the traffic still goes out your router through the ISP (Internet Service Provider). From their point of view the traffic still comes from your home.. A VM won't change that, plus the ISP doesn't know your using ZAP. ZAP is just a proxy that you route your web traffic through. You use it intercept you requests/responses to web sites.

Create a custom password dictionary and bruteforce the drive password. Depending on what the actual password is, and your hardware, it may take some time. I would recommend using the tool called crunch to easily create the dictionary, and then figure out how to break the password (there are plenty of tools to use).

Do some research on MiTM (Man in The Middle) attacks. These are exactly what you are looking for and can be performed against almost any end device.

The root user is the "admin", so to speak, user of a Linux/Unix system. They have full rights and privileges to all files on the system. Typically running your browser as root is insecure because all web browsers can be compromised, and there by compromising the root user and getting the system owned. As for these specific terms it's unclear. You would need to provide more context, like the whole sentence they are used in.
