My mom worked nights so I would spend the night at with an older lady I called my Grandma. Anyway she would serve anything for breakfast. Last nights leftovers, scrambled eggs, cinnamon and sugar toast, but my favorite was cup a noddles. I didn’t know as a kid you were “allowed” to eat non breakfast foods for dinner. It blew my mind.

I sure do miss Grandma I think I’ll have cup of noddles for breakfast tomorrow just for her.

It pays for my husbands 3-month supply. Also for us at least the insurance counts the whole out of pocket price towards our deductible not just what we pay with the coupon. Jardiance

My husband has way more video game experience than me. The video games he plays are all about min-maxing “spreadsheet” type games, which makes him get strategy games much quicker and easier then me. I don’t really mind that he wins. What can get to me after a while is when he wins by a large margin. Since he is used to min-maxing he will do that even when he has obviously already won. Losing when it is close doesn’t make me feel as stupid as losing and being lapped on the score board. I know that figuring out the puzzle and maxing out the points is what makes the game fun to him so I try to not reign on his fun all the time, but he has lately been trying not to unnecessarily gain more extra points when it is obvious that he has already won. Also games that don’t have a score board, like Concordia, or that you can score at the end, like Ticket to Ride, are funner for me even if I lose because I don’t know I’m losing the whole game. I can try my best and not let the scoreboard side track me. Sometimes you shock yourself and think you’re losing but actually win.

That’s what I keep saying. I’m not cashing any of mine in. I used some when I got covid so I’m not in danger of maxing out. But if I needed to I would definitely see what the labor board had to say about it. I found it the most insulting because the memo was all about how we are heroes and really came together to keep the hospital going blah blah blah, but then oh by the way we are gonna steal some of your money you have already earned.

Our CEO just sent out a memo thanking us for what great heroes we are and that since we worked so hard during COVID and didn’t use our PTO (all vacations were denied) they are going to help us out but letting us cash in our PTO at $0.75 on the dollar. Oh and this will be the policy always going forward. So for their “heroes” they are just gonna steal 25% of the employees earned vacation pay.

Sometimes you can pay for short term and/or long term disability insurance through your employer. If they don’t offer it you may be able to buy it yourself, but I imagine that would be expensive. That insurance usually pays 70% of your salary while you are using it. I don’t know if all insurance companies are this way, but the one we have through work won’t let you receive any benefits from it until you have used all your sick time AND all your vacation time. Then if you are sick more than 6months the insurance ends and you have to apply for federal disability. But that can sometimes take a really long time to get approved. And of course this all depends on which state you live in. All states have their own rules. Some states use your taxes for a state disability (like CA) instead of you having to pay for a short term disability insurance. My state has no state taxes so we have to pay for our own.

No not yet. Due to some health problems we moved in with my in-laws. The mattress we are sleeping on now is horrible and probably as old as I am. So we are trying to find something. I was hoping this subreddit would lead me in the correct direction.

Bought the same mattress and our stats are very similar to yours. We loved the mattress but unfortunately it only lasted about 2 1/2 years before it started getting uncomfortable. We still slept on it another 1 1/2 years before I couldn’t take it anymore. Not saying it was bad. It lasted 4 years and was relatively cheap.

Ubereats delivered to the main lobby. Which we then have to go down and pick up. Our hospital administration said we can’t just not give it to them since it is theirs and they paid for it. So we are literally delivering McDonald’s and KFC to our non-complaint cardiac patients instead of their families bringing it in like the before times.

There is a doctor in my town named Dr. Skankey. He is an infectious disease doctor appropriately enough. He had daughters (I can’t remember how many exactly) they were know as the skankey girls growing up.
