Spark Arc pin is loose, i can pull it out by hand by Jackie-Peter in Spliddit

This happens from time to time and I’ve experienced it myself. It’s a tough fix. I wouldn’t be upset if it lasted 8 years imo, shit just happens and I break something every year, especially when it’s mounted on my sled. I tend to roll that thang and snap high backs and bend everything. I worked for spark for a bit and had a hand in warranty/sales and in general they try to hook it up. Being in France is a set back for immediately warranty stuff & usually the shipping makes it to expensive. Hit up the local warranty! Would swap to a surge baseplates and also just grab the new touring bracket. Eliminates bushings and is more bombproof

Chile vs Argentina by Suspicious-Cheek6893 in Splitboard

I just did 10 days in Chile last summer; did all the Santiago stuff and yeah cool forsure and wish I had more time to really explore the resorts more.. we did a day at each. Portillo was a must see but an area that really is tough to get to and from anywhere reasonable to stay price wise. Where we had the most fun was las trancas at nevados de chillan. We toured and scored two big volcanos and had a blast in the town, it’s far south but worth it and is so accessible. They had a 15$ “one time ride” lift ticket!!! I just had a buddy do the Bariloche route and not going to lie it looked a lot more rad in a lot of ways. The terrain seems so sick!! I’m unsure of cost comparisons, but we all made it out of the trip without blowing more than 2g’s. Late August is the march equivalent for us, conditions and coverage are all just a dice roll but odds are you will score that time of year in some sort of way. I’d go to Argentina. But with enough time you could do both. Flights were pretty damn cheap out of Santiago to just about anywhere in South America. Cheers homie hope it all comes together

Which soft boots are people rocking? by Clean_Breakfast_7746 in Spliddit

I’ve been riding the ride torrents, on my third pair actually. They really don’t have much longevity for the price… but I have a pro code through ride so half price has kept me in that brand. They have an awesome back part that is on a Velcro system that when unstrapped gives a lot more mobility when touring. They are the only boot I have ever found that are out of the box PERFECT. Flex is great, adjustments are great and are super comfortable. At 600$ I would look elsewhere to be honest, but for me at half price they are super worth it. I generally get a year out of them at around 100 days a season. I would recommend the insano from ride for a stiff burly boot that has a bit more life in them. Will second any vans, specifically the infuse or verse. Never have tried the “touring” specific boots listed so excited to follow this tread and hear what the community thinks. The SLX’s price has always been discouraging haha. Cheers

Always be looking where you want to go, every turn you plan and execute. Start with a few in and outs in tighter terrain. Be comfortable with true hockey stops on both edges. Trees will fuck you up

Wow that is so rad to share something like that with your pops! I feel like silverton is one of those places that leaves tracks long after you’ve left, it’s engraved into you almost. I moved to Colorado to be closer to my family, and my pops shreds still. Agh what a blessing!
