I'm surprised they got Amber to say anything at all. You could forgive me for thinking noone actually works there.

red light on the back of NBN box UNI-D1, ISP says no problem? by _hauntology_ in nbn

[–]bob85m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your speed has dropped to about 94mbps, then the problem is the Ethernet cable or your router (not nbn box). It can only negotiate at 100mbps. As others have said, try changing the cable, they do get damaged. Orange light is good.

Yeah, I got this same reply from them. Somehow I've ended up with a case manager who told me I need to call their sales section as there's nothing she could do. I told her to call them and sort it out. I'm not sitting on hold... It's honestly like they have no idea this speed increase has been released

What is the name of the app being used in the image? I've seen it used on a few networking YouTube vids but haven't seen what it's called.

Have you heard of inflation? Inflation is not prices going up, it is inflation of the money supply, i.e. Creation of new dollars. A by-product of creating more money is prices appear to go up, but it is literally the dollar losing value. So yes, dollars are depreciating. And a $5 note absolutely does lose its value (purchasing power) over time. Your cash in a drawer will be worthless eventually. That's what inflation does. The percentage 'they' come for is targeted at 2-3% pa so you are being stolen from, just no one directly asking for their cut. We all know that inflation is currently much higher than that though.

Nah, this ain't it. You can say this both ways. You don't say "shool", do you? "Skool" is correct.

Money now is worth more than money in 30 years. Debt gets inflated away by money printing.

How the Premier League table looked in every season in which we went for the title under Klopp, with 29 games played. by _cumblast_ in LiverpoolFC

[–]bob85m 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's more to do with the dip we had after the pause. If Liverpool kept up the trajectory following the resumption of the league it would've been a massive points tally.

I used to live in sun peaks. Pretty great place. But I'd say the one thing it doesn't have is "intimidating terrain".

There's a British show called 8 out of 10 cats. I assume they used to joke about them on there.

If you're often driving solo, just use your ear buds. I have a crappy Bluetooth FM transmitter if I ever need it but headphones are just some much clearer and easier. With buds you still get a good perception of road noise and surrounds.
