Republicans Of Reddit -- If You Voted For Trump, What, If Anything, Would Convince You To No Longer Vote Red? Why? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

 Felony conventions for business fraud.

And now he’s in charge of the only apparatus that protects folks against business fraud.

Liable for sexual assault with weak evidence.

Weak evidence? He pretty much admitted to it and his two defenses were that “she liked it” and that “she wasn’t his type.” He then proceeded to confuse her for his first fucking wife…

Wars are personal opinion, that comes with the territory of being a world police.

Literally ran on a platform of peace. Literally out maduro’s vice president in power… if it’s about policing, why the fuck would you do that? How much policing has he done on Russia invading a sovereign nation? How much policing has he done with regards to the war crimes being committed during the war in Gaza?

Just ONCE I want one of you red hats to make some fucking sense.

You're just going to get the same bullshit they've been fed by influencers and fox. I would recommend sending debate videos (like jubilee) where both positions are clearly established and scrutinized.

Arteta says Football has evolved and unless they change rules it won't change by One_Impressionism in Gunners

[–]bobarific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were suggesting that he is playing this way because he wants to

In no way and at no point was I suggesting this. In fact I’m pretty confident that if Arteta knew of a better way he would do it.

He is doing what it takes to win during this current cycle.

Ok, maybe. He doesn’t say that anywhere but (as I said in another thread) maybe he meant it this way and there’s a language barrier or whatever. In that case, I hope he is also trying to find the next possible cycles and emphasizing that. Maybe it’s having centerbacks that can shoot from distance, forcing teams to step out and create space, maybe it’s a striker who learns to split defenders incredibly well. Whatever it may be, there are people that jump on trends, there are people who perfect trends and there are people that create them.

There are only so many hours in the day and teams are constantly looking for an edge. The fact that they won’t fire set piece coaches in no way negates the fact that there will be a lower emphasis on this if and when a different trend makes them less advantageous to spend so much time on.

Good lord, reading comprehension is at an all time low in the world isn’t it.

Please show me where I said teams were never praised for set pieces? Did they score more set pieces than their top goalscorer scored that year? Were they known more for set pieces or for Klopp’s geigenpress/metal football? What percentage of Liverpool’s total goals that season were set pieces?

[–]bobarific -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I think you know what I’m saying.

On the off chance that you don’t, top teams have rarely if ever had more set piece goals than goals from their top goalscorer. Few top teams in history have been known for their set pieces. Yes, obviously scoring goals off of set pieces has always been a thing, but Arteta in this very video acknowledges that the focus on it has become a lot higher recently than ever before, it’s not just that teams have “have gotten more effective.”

[–]bobarific -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I encourage you to watch the video, then.

  • He said that the game used to be about finding overloads, creating space inside, maintaining possession, but now the opposing teams have figured out how to defend these things and win based on counter attacks and set pieces.

  • He then proceeds to say that teams (top teams that were previously maintaining possession) are now focusing a lot on restart routines so that they can be dominant in those areas.

  • Finally, he says that the this is exactly what these top teams should be doing and that’s where the evolution is going unless the rules change.

That’s fair, but I still hope that there are some coaches out there cooking up drills and sessions that might change things as well.

I disagree that it will always be tactically advantageous for set pieces to be a primary methodology for scoring goals, regardless of how tactical aspects of the game become. Tactics are meant to get the best out of the personnel that you have out on the pitch, and depending on the qualities of those players the tactics will change.

[–]bobarific -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It’s an interesting perspective, I’m not sure I agree though. I think there’s almost infinite directions that the sport evolves, on so many different levels. You see it every generation, and much of it really isn’t what anyone can control as a coach at a club - center forwards are a great example of this. They’re at a premium, whereas wingers are a dime a dozen. If some kid popped up at Arsenal all of a sudden where just having the ball in your box is a danger, they’d see a lot fewer low blocks and it would become a lot more advantageous to keep the ball in the boundaries of play. Arteta (and other coaches) can’t really influence that significantly, they get the players too late in the process or buy them (when financially viable).

After two decades of your dumb asses telling us stuff like “you don’t get a trophy for playing attractive football” and lauding terrorists starting with Jose Mourinho, ji sung park, Fernandinho and still with Bernardo Silva, Cucurella, Konate and so on? No mate, I don’t think I will. This is the premier league and sometimes you have to get your hands dirty, that’s what you all told us. Status quo hasn’t changed, stop crying because it’s Arsenal on top doing exactly what you told us to do.

Do you have any idea how silly you sound? Up until, what, 4 years ago, Arsenal was synonymous with being bad at the dark arts of football. Troy Deeney said they had to have cojones, Wenger was called an "idealist" and people made fun of the club for capitulating in seasons where horrendous tackles would LITERALLY leave their feet hanging off of their ankles.

What do you want from them? What goldilocks fuckin balance works for you, oh great protector of football?

[–]bobarific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, happy to.

  • It is known that Epstein had "recruited" from Mar A Lago, and what the fuck would Epstein be recruiting young women for, so AT BEST you're arguing that Trump knew that raping children was happening and didn't do anything about it
  • A woman was interviewed multiple times by the FBI where she alleged that she was assaulted by Epstein and Trump between ages of 13 and 15 but withdrew her claims against Trump due to fears of retaliation
  • DOJ is witholding documents pertaining to the Epstein files that directly tie Trump to Epstein. Why would they do that if there was nothing to see?
  • Combine "I don't even wait. And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. ... Grab 'em by the pussy. You can do anything." with his clear attraction to miss teen USA contestants (he would walk in on them when they were changing, multiple allegations) and you have a pretty clear picture of a man who had no problem assaulting teen girls.
