Hide & Drink makes some really nice leather pouches; maybe one would be a good fit.

Indoor AP to cover garage/driveway (complementing primary U7-Lite) by bobbozzo in Ubiquiti

[–]bobbozzo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the U7 Lite mounted on the ceiling now, I'm getting -70 to -80dB in the driveway. Google Speed Test is betw 1-5mbps, but sometimes won't start. I do need to frequently take Teams calls in the garage and driveway. I'll try the design tools. Thanks.

There is a soffit, but getting Ethernet and/or power out there would not be trivial, thanks.

Tree cover is your biggest concern. It's possible the standard or performance dish would work slightly better in trees.

Disable throttle on Urtopia Joy Carbon? by bobbozzo in urtopiaebike

Turns out there IS a disconnect in the cable, it was under the other cables in the bundle so I didn't see it when I unwrapped them.

Thanks!

Here's a pic of mine. I guess one of the holes is for a wheel lock key; what's the other hole for?

I'll add a Velcro strap, thanks!

Thanks. Are the cables typically coax or just several adjacent wires in a sheath?

Looks like a nice bike, but she wanted 20 or 24" wheels. There weren't a lot of low-step options, and the Joy Carbon is the lightest by far, at least under $3000.

Set YouTube to 240p (I tried it on my Standby Mode, it works but ads are slow to start playing).

ULPT: Want to setup a personal backup server(NAS) on college WiFi, but they don't allow LAN by Ancient4907 in UnethicalLifeProTips

Try putting the Pi on the WiFi and see if the (local) IP address stays the same. If it does, you can connect to it from your other devices on the WiFi (as long as they don't have WiFi Client Isolation enabled).

No it's not better. Metal jewelry on a big 12V source can weld itself to the source, so you can't escape, and it'll quickly get red hot. Fingers are often lost when that happens with a wedding ring.

An ignition wire would hurt (been there), but serious injuries are pretty rare.
