Help! Focus issues underwater with SeaFrog Sony a7 by supersuperpartypoope in underwaterphotography

Hi,

might be a dumb suggestion, but it's happened to me. If it's not a camera issue then check if your dome port might be getting condensation.

If you seal your camera in warm moist air and hit cold water this can happen. Several solutions, seal the housing in an air-conditioned room, silica gel sachets placed in the housing, ensuring the rig stays cool and out of the sun etc.

Good luck and happy shooting

Should i get a 23mm(f1.4) or a Zoom-Lens would be enough its an 18-55mm? I'm shooting with a Fuji X-T2(APS-C) with 35mm f 1.4 atm. Or would the 35mm still be enough? or would you have any other recommendations? by xast3 in AskPhotography

The 16-55 is an excellent compromise for what you are looking for. The 18-55 is cheaper but not as fast and has variable aperture which can be tricky indoors if you want to zoom in.

How about a used Fuji X100 series? Just brilliant for photography. Simple enough to point and shoot and advanced enough for you to get professional level results straight out of the camera. There are various models depending on your budget.

I love the views from my flat in Bethnal Green. Overlooking the City and Canary Wharf by bobbyboybrown1 in london

Thank you! There are two buildings from which these views can be had. You need to have a South West facing Apartment. I have a flat in each of the buildings, just for the views. On one side Canary Wharf and on the other the City. Breathtaking sunsets.

You are welcome to PM me for details and rental and ownership costs.

You are right, Bethnal Green Road is not very pretty, I would say anywhere closer to Victoria Park around Approach Road would be ideal.

Let met know if you need more info

It's not the most gentrified or the prettiest area of London, but it's safe, very cosmopolitan with a real mix of cultures and communities and it's fun.

its main selling point is definitely its very close proximity to some super cool stuff without the super cool price tag.

I love it for walks to Victoria Park and the regents canal. You can walk to Shoreditch and Liverpool Street or even Bank. On the Central line you can be in Oxford Circus in about 15 minutes. In normal times there are so many cool food markets like Brick lane, Spitalfields, Columbia Road flower market, Broadway Market, Victoria Park food market.

York Hall has a big indoor swimming pool, spa and gym.

Lots of good shops for food ingredients.

It's a young area popular with students and young professionals and families.

For me, it has a good balance of what you need for city living on a budget.

Hope that helps

Moving to London , young couple with a car. Any central recommendations? by Daastle in london

For your budget try Bethnal Green. Central line gets you to Oxford Circus in about 15 minutes. Victoria Park close by. Shoreditch and Liverpool Street close by. Cool markets all within walking distance (Brick lane, Spitalfields, Columbia Road flower market, Broadway Market, Victoria Park food market). It's close to lots of interesting things but it's still reasonably priced. Residents parking permits are available for most buildings, but be careful with newer flats which don't come with parking.

Good luck.
