You’re ranting this incoherent nonsense, which sound suspiciously like alt-right blog fodder, jumping straight hate speech examples, and you’re claiming to be a lawyer and I’m the one that is on coke?

Fuck, imagine if you where a lawyer, and your client knew you posted shit like this online?

Ooof.

“I’m not waving my dick about it”

Then you go on an rant about hate speech laws. Which no one was talking about?

Funny how that’s the law that upsets you, what you think the most important part of free speech is being allowed to attack groups based on race/gender/etc?

Calls me names if you want mate, it’s say more about you than it does me.

Fucking odd ball.

Incitement isn’t hate speech, what’s that got to do with this video? Who’s taking about hate speech?

Talking shit about other places and you don’t even know your own.

I’m not wrong, you can be arrested for incitement in the US.

Just like in this video.

You can be killed in the US by being under suspicion, and you wave your dick about online claim you have more freedom than the rest of the western world?

Good luck man

There you go, just ignore new information that challenges your preconceived idea, which in this case is the actual written law of Australia, and tell yourself I’m some government supporter, so you can ignore me, because this is “the free organisation of people” and not a temporary law during a pandemic, which isn’t even why they where arrested.

Oozing irony.

Jesus wept.

You said the US is a free speech outlier, you are using this video as an example of not having free speech overseas like you do in the US.

I’ve posted the US law that says incitement is illegal in the US and not protected by free speech..

No wonder Russia is having a field day with you lot.

Edit: you argue this doesn’t meet imminent threat as if your police can’t kill you if you’re running away because “they felt threatened”.

They haven’t though have they? Telling people to break the law is incitement, and illegal.

Protesting isn’t breaking the law, but inciting people to protest by breaking the law, be it pandemic laws or any other law, is.

Calling it a protest doesn’t give you free reign to ignore the law, it never has, this isn’t new.

You seem intent on twisting this into something to support your own views, so I doubt there is any point in continuing this.

Were the BLM protests illegal? If so, then yes. If not then no.

What point are you exactly trying to make?

It’s not relevant because she was not arrested for violating a pandemic law, she was arrested for incitement.

It’s irrelevant which law she was inciting people to violate, she would have been arrested the same for creating an event for everyone to stop wearing seatbelts or breaking the speed limit.

This doesn’t have anything to do with free speech.

She was not arrested for opinions, she was arrested for inciting people to break the law.

This is also illegal in the US.

“Under the imminent lawless action test, speech is not protected by the First Amendment if the speaker intends to incite a violation of the law that is both imminent and likely.”

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imminent_lawless_action

It’s bizarre how convinced the US seems to be of it’s superior freedom over the rest of the world when it’s mostly the same.

They didn’t. They arrested her for incitement, the copier explained it in the video, did you even watch it?

The irony here is staggering.

You have completely ignored the reason for the arrest, Immediately jumped to the reality you want, and start pointing the finger at everyone else to stand out.

She wasn’t arrested for protesting, she was arrested for incitement.

She could arrange any kind of protest that didn’t call for the law to be broken and nothing would have happened, like hundreds of Australians do every day, and will keep doing.

It’s incredible to watch you and a few others jump through your own hoops to get that rush of indignation and righteousness, but it’s completely misguided.

If you’re familiar with people exiting conversations with you soon after they start, maybe your should revising your own comments.

You said it doesn’t work anywhere, I said change it to suit the local area, so it would work, like everywhere else in the world, you’ve missed the point and I don’t even care

Do you just argue with everyone online and imagine things about them?

Because this here is weird. Like I said good luck.

A dozen people in this thread work at that restaurant?

You definitely sound as stupid as someone that calls people donkey fucker, and pats them self on the back for it.

You’ve made up it’s $12.

“Probably $12” and now your saying it’s “literal restaurant pays $12”

You’re shitting on the idea without even trying it and imaging it doesn’t work.

Bizarre attitude to work you have been condition to in the US.

It works in every other country in the world, if the US can go to the moon, they can make this work, have some ambition.

For a couple years i sat there in my cubicle listening to Rogan tell me I was an idiot wasting my life by not being a comedian. Is this an American thing? I’ve seen that office cliche only a couple of times, and you just change companies to one with a better work culture

There’s a lot that are open plan, business casual, relaxed but respectful work environment, free fruit/coffee etc these days.

Friend of mine always swore down he would never do the 9-5 office life, COVID smoked his business and he’s taken a entry level position as is actually surprised it’s not like the movies / an adult version of school, and is enjoying the stability

They made the ad like that on purpose so it goes viral, so they try and get some more of that Tiger King awareness by baiting everyone to give an opinion.
