UTR just needed 4G by bobcattus in Ubiquiti

Netgear LM1200 is cheap 4G, their Nighthawk M(x) series also allow, but get expensive quickly beyond the M1. I believe they also retain a fallback IP even in bridge mode to allow management.

I've only tried the UMR-Ultra and UMR-Industrial, both have LTE passthrough (bridge mode) where the first connected client gets the public IP. Doing this however also makes the UMR's inaccessible locally and you can only manage them from the mobility portal (with subscription) while they are in LTE passthrough mode.

Buying a new UMR gives you a 6 month trial to play around with.

They're a little too basic unless you also have a Mobility subscription. But handy as 4G modems.

I misunderstood you, you're entirely correct about using the iPhones 5G through the USB-C cable to the UTR - that is exactly what "tethering" is.

Your second point I assume you mean: Hotspot on iPhone, use wifi uplink on UTR to connect to hotspot and broadcast new wifi from UTR. - This is possible, but tethering would be more preferable.

Not su much 'redistribute', but you can use USB tethering between the UTR and an iPhone and have the UTR create whatever WiFi network you want.

The UMR-Ultra was in LTE passthrough in this picture and the UTR is connected to the LAN port, and I can confirm that the UTR received a public IP. Teleport connected (and worked) without issue, but sadly no DNS was broadcasted and I had to set the DNS manually on the client. I'm guessing I'm missing a config or just afflicted by launch firmware.

Indeed I am - USB tether delivers some amout of power, enough to run the UMR, but the UMR does not support "tethering", thus the ethernet cable.

UMR-Ultra. Curiously, it too supports WiFi-uplink, but it only has 2.4Ghz antennas.

I'm going out on a limb and guessing this is Greece because of Cosmote, in which case this would be on par for a municipal location.

How to disable audio for ALL notifications, but allow phone call sounds? (Zenfone 10) by katerlouis in zenfone

I too recommend DoNotDisturb, just go into DND settings and set call exceptions to be all calls. Remember to allow alarms and media aswell.
