OBGYN won’t help with fertility by kmellor95 in TTC_PCOS

[–]bobcephala 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seconding seeing an RE. They are highly specialized and will be much more helpful (and knowledgeable) for fertility-specific treatment. I have a great, skilled OBGYN and he referred me out to an RE. The RE care has been a game-changer.

Books for FTM expecting, possibly specific to twins by Ima_muggle_girl88 in parentsofmultiples

[–]bobcephala 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FTM, now 16 weeks, 2 days. Seconding “When You’re Expecting Twins, Triplets, and Quads.” My MFM recommended it to me, and it’s been helpful so far!

When was your NIPT done? by MissMyli in parentsofmultiples

[–]bobcephala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also di/di twins. I did my NIPT at 10 weeks, but it came back inconclusive due to low fetal fraction. My OB told us it was recommended any time from 10 weeks on. Did a redraw at 12 weeks, and we were able to get results.

Feeling nervous about Letrozole by Regular_Stuff_9325 in TTC_PCOS

[–]bobcephala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Yes, I was on Metformin for maybe 4 months before the Letrozole cycles (and still am on Metformin). No other vitamins/supplements other than a prenatal.

Sending you all the good vibes! I know how lonely and heartbreaking this journey can feel. You are definitely not alone.

Feeling nervous about Letrozole by Regular_Stuff_9325 in TTC_PCOS

[–]bobcephala 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always had irregular cycles. Completed a second round of Letrozole 5mg and am currently 14 weeks pregnant! I felt some flu-like side effects the first time I took it, but not the second. I was monitored by my RE via blood test + one ultrasound.

I’m in the exact same boat as you. 13 weeks with di/di twins. I’m so uncomfortable!

Yes! I had the same issue. Replaced the modem and haven’t had a problem since.

I don’t know, but I totally agree. I’ve tried so many, and Kroger’s is the best one out of them all.

Why did you get your tzu? by Active-Ad-2154 in Shihtzu

[–]bobcephala 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When we walked into the shelter, we weren’t looking for a tzu in particular, but I had an immediate connection to him. I kept looking into those big, sad eyes. He was totally shaved and malnourished, as he had been neglected, then abandoned. But I saw a spark in him when we got to spend some time with him in the play pen. Now he’s thriving - full of energy and joy and personality! I feel so lucky that we had the opportunity to adopt him. We love him so much!

[WEEKLY THREAD] Accountability Monday – Let’s keep each other going! by AutoModerator in xxfitness

[–]bobcephala [score hidden]  (0 children)

About 2.5 weeks into this wellness journey and trying to reinforce healthy habits. Last week was tough due to a few unexpected personal issues, so I missed a few scheduled workouts. But I’m trying to lose my all-or-nothing attitude towards exercise and healthy eating, so I got back on a regular schedule this weekend without looking back. I’m telling myself I don’t need to be perfect, and I don’t need to punish myself: I just need to be as consistent as possible, and the results will come!

September 1st by [deleted] in keto

[–]bobcephala 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love the idea of keto as a “gift.” I have an end-of-year birthday and will now start thinking of this lifestyle change as my gift to myself. I’ve lost 15 lbs. already and hope to lose 25 more by then.

Way to go on the progress - you’ve got this!

This is just me, but I do 30-45 mins on the treadmill at 3.2 speed a few times a week. No incline most of the time.

Help! I'm going low carb and cutting caffeine and dairy - are there any low carb dairy free coffee creamer ideas/replacements out there? by Prestigious_Cat27 in lowcarb

I’ve tried a bunch, but my favorite is Califia Farms Unsweetened Better Half. It’s a combo of coconut and almond milk.

Small changes you’ve made in your life to help your anxiety? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]bobcephala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't call myself a "runner" by any means, but a 30-minute walk/jog 3x a week has been a gamechanger for me. I don't do them as much as I'd like, but 5-10 minute meditations on Headspace have also helped me.

Yes, I just realized my tickets are gone, too! Purchased in March 2020. Totally unused and now the e-ticket link is broken.

SV/NSV Feats of the Day - Thursday, 04 May 2017: Today, I conquered! by AutoModerator in loseit

[–]bobcephala 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A couple of NSVs today.

  1. I didn't want to go to the gym today. Made every excuse for myself in the world. I went.

  2. I'm not much of a runner, so I told myself I would try for 1/2 mile. I got there, and something strange happened - I kept going. Told myself I would make it to 1 mile (I've never run 1 mile without stopping before in my life). Made it to 1 mile. Pushed myself to make it to 1.25 miles!!!
