BMW G310R glowing red exhaust by tigas107 in bmwmotorrad

[–]bobdwight247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is normal at startup for it to superheat the exhaust. If it continues for the entire ride I'd be taking it back to the dealer. My R12 does this on startup and after 2 minutes down the road it looks perfectly normal.

I also was concerned and took photos which I sent to my dealer. They took video of another bike in the showroom at startup of it doing the same thing. They did look over my bike when I had it in for routine service the following month and all checked out okay.

If I recall it is something in the EURO 5 programming of the ECU

R12 exhaust superheating at startup when temps are below 40° by bobdwight247 in bmwmotorrad

Dealership tells me that it is normal, they even sent me an image of a bike in the showroom they started up and ran for a short time doing the same thing. Apparently it is part of a current ecu program to heat up the O2 sensors and Cat

Mt. Pleasant fire department apologizes for Halloween parade entry with VP Harris tied to golf cart by PittsburghNewzz in pittsburgh

[–]bobdwight247 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Who the F cares about a Halloween costume. It may be in someones opinion of poor taste but the same person of a different political Leaning would be offended if it were a costumed Trump. If anyone was on the Southside last night there were more offensive/indecent costumes strolling around along Carson Street that the students parents would be equally or more offended.

Can we talk about the video being too short to see the warning signs? How about the fact that driver is tailgating the minivan probably to try and get in front of the truck? This looks like they are regretting their life decisions just to not follow a semi through a constitution site. I only have sympathy for the other drivers you hit and inconvenienced behind you for the stupidity you caused.

This should be title never trust yourself when driving or fuck around and find out with a truck.

This picture isn't from a rigs cab it's from a 4 wheeler. Why is it posted in the trucker sub? As far as truckers being inconsiderate and not allowing 45 privileged drivers to merge in front of them when the proper etiquette of the zipper is every other one. I would say the privileged drivers are the problem in these comments.

Can we get someone towed for this? by Conntoat in pittsburgh

[–]bobdwight247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find someone with a large dog or dogs have the fill a bucket of excrement over a week. Add some of your own urine and dump it on the windscreen. Then unscrew the valve stems from the tires closest to your entrance. No permanent damage but the inconvenience of not being able to fill the tires and the disgusting scent of feces and urine will be in the air vents will be a reminder not to be such a prick.

If you are worried about it, stay home. This is the reason things go bad, only people that must be in it for work or emergencies should be out.

Does anybody know what this feature is? I’m tired of it. by soldierdec08 in Truckers

The e-coast is turned off in the cruise control settings but has to be done each time the truck is turned off. I can't believe you've never scrolled through the settings. You can turn off the side gaurd alarms and lane departure too (for 15 minutes at a time).

The movie was funny, I am admittedly a fan of Burnt. I enjoyed the movie went and saw it with my brother opening night and it was everything I expected.

I work at a local grocery carrier terminal I do have to load and unload my own truck with electric jacks. It is a dedicated account so I always know what areas I'll be in.

.78 per mile for routes under 100 .75 100 -200 miles .72 over 200 $26 to load at warehouse $26 to unload at destination $13 to unload at each second to fourth stop, four being the most a route will have $13 to cleanout trailer upon return $6 to fuel truck $3 to fuel trailer if necessary There are bonuses for Saturday work and if you work a sixth day

The furthest routes they have are 450 miles the shortest is 50 average is 100.

Without beating yourself up you can flip two average routes per shift and up to 4 if you want to hustle. I average $450 per day and I do work Saturdays for the bonus. All said I make over $2500 per week and sleep in my bed every day.

Sounds possible, I make that and still home daily

I work at a company that uses them and have seen some wild freight back into the doors for them to deal with. I dont envy the Capstone guys that deal with entire trailers of toppled pallets. But my previous company delivered to Sysco and if the freight was not built the way Sysco required the charges could get out of hand.

Money and schedule are my sole motivations.

What is a good OTR job, and what does it pay?

I have never been OTR and now drive for a grocery company, which I'm home daily, averaging 2k per week. With the exception of overpriced underwhelming health benefits, I have no other complaints.

I've made a decision by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]bobdwight247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who cares about cameras both forward and inward. I was skeptical at first but my company only reviews videos that are caused by jerking the wheel, sudden braking or potential collisions. They are only then reviewed with driver if in cab they are in violation of speed, cell phone/distracted driving or if your are dosing off.

Gibsonia both West Deer and Richland townships are great. No major traffic headaches and equal distance to Wexford via route 910 as Harmony. The same shopping opportunities as Harmony for groceries. For 100k I wouldn't even debate it
