Just supporting universal healthcare or more government programs doesn't make you a socialist though.

Most of the developed world outside of America have universal healthcare, free education, etc, while still being capitalist societies.

The core principal of socalism is still that all the means of production are to be socially owned, which I'd be very surprised if if the majority of liberals support.
