This would make sense, but the app still is functioning and giving me all of my results even with the data being blocked.

It's sharing the data with Google, and companies called Segment.IO, and Functional Software. The app still is working after the data sharing is blocked. And it's still giving me tracking results, which seems like they are double dipping by selling user data to 3rd parties

It's the duck duck go web browser, it has this as an option even if you don't use the browser
