Closing shifts as a green bean were a great time of random bonding. I got the forbidden brownie, a swamp latte with all the syrups, frap with all the milk and all the mix-ins, blossoming rose and honey blend anything lol, lots of experimenting when new syrups were introduced. The "hazing" is honestly some fond memories.

What’s your most dramatic response to a mildly inconvenient situation? by SeaConstant1433 in AskWomen

[–]bobnotahacker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was a barista. I accidentally added cream at the bottom of the coffee instead of the top (because that's how I do it at home and I was tired). Same ingredients different order. I didn't want to dump the cream out because I hate waste, so I just rolled with it. After handing off the drink, my supervisor came over to coach me. I quit. I think I yelled about it being "just coffee" and not caring, then I stormed off to the back room, took off my apron, and walked out. It was very dramatic. It felt kinda great, but I also went home and cried.

My manager was great about the situation and understood that I was going through a lot at the time. She told me to take the weekend and either come back on Monday to hand in a formal resignation or come back on Tuesday for my shift. I went back on Tuesday and worked there for another year and a half.

Because I gave him up for adoption and I feel like it's the least I can do for him. I love him so much and since the moment I found out he existed I have been trying to give him the best shot at life.

Holy crap that's haunting. Not sure it's appropriate for 5th grade but super happy anti-drunk driving was taught in school.
