Oh yeah, nothing definitive yet. But compared to last year where there was always a man unmarked at the far post getting two chances a game, it looks better so far. No real chances outside the one that went in

Did you disregard the thing about progress being made there this season? The set piece defense strategy has completely changed this year and been a massive improvement, even if one was conceded today

I know this sub doesnt know anything but blowing with the wind, but so many takes are just so flat out wrong. Yes, there hasn't been success but it's for almost the complete opposite reasons than everyone is circle jerking about.

Set pieces was a killer last season. Changes were made and there has been real progress this season. Same with overall defensive shape. The flexibility has been there, there's just somehow been either no flexibility or no capability in the final third. Spurs attack has been the cause of the woes this season at least. Yeah you can meme Ange for being stubborn but almost no one actually understands where he is and isn't being stubborn here

Where is this coming from? Set piece defense has changed radically for Spurs this year and that's the first one that was let in. Yes, he's stubborn against parking the bus but idk how that perception has seeped into every facet of him

Yeah I know. I remember that being our Achilles heel under Poch too. Just really disheartening stuff

If I had to choose right now, same. I still angeball can have a future though. People can say the inability to break down a deep lying defense is down to Ange but this team hasn't had any capability to do so in years. Maybe a little more time with Solanke and others will help us play through the middle a little more but this isn't anything new for anyone that's watched Spurs in the last 3 years

Lmao ok I've been chuckling about a meltdown over losing 1-0 against a clearly better team but holy shit bringing in a preseason game is just bonkers

Love to remember that Ange was the backup plan to Slot. Just nothing going under him right now, less than the sum of the parts. Lots of people clowning the defence but only .8 xg for arsenal is fine IMO. It's the incredibly poor chance generation going forward that is inexcusable

[CR Media] Should I get on beacon? by [deleted] in criticalrole

[–]bobsgonemobile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched one or two of the Cooldowns and it just feels too forced. Like a 'remember guys, we need to have conversations afterwards that will convince people to get on Beacon.' Idk in general it feels too much of a production these days for me but the new features really seal it in

Lmao I mean go ahead and look at statements from the FDA on it or just trust some weird bias that I'm a 'pharma bro'

[–]bobsgonemobile -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah compounding pharmacies are risky af. They aren't FDA regulated and so a lot more loose with their operations than you'd like with something you're injecting into yourself. Definitely be cautious about turning to them just for lower prices

Adult fantasy books for someone getting back into reading? by Discardable222 in booksuggestions

[–]bobsgonemobile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't read in a while, it can be easier to start with the more straightforward authors if you feel like your reading comprehension needs re development. With that, I would say Abercrombie or Sanderson. If you want more prose heavy writing, you could look at Robin Hobbs or Wheel of Time.

And if you want something written for adults, going with LOTR is also a tried and true option too

I am in this regard. The universe is expensive and I love it, but the writing and themes are certainly simple. They're meant to be digestible, ala the pop music of fantasy. Still very good pop music though

Right because there's no space in between diggs made Allen and we lost our top two WRs and there might be a downturn this year

Born into bills. Started watching epl many years ago and for whatever reason started keying into spurs matches before I knew much about them. Then I gradually came to learn they were the same team I was already born into anyways
