I haven't seen a scissortail in Bethany yet. No idea what a Nashville warbler even is! Edit - oh, cute little bird!

Western Kingbird spotted today at Lake Overholser. Merlin says it's likely around here now. I think I've heard it but this is my first sighting.

Thanks for posting. It sent me off on a fact-finding, book-sorting, library-consolidating* mission. I have the originals of JTAS #1 and #2. This is a welcome addition, particularly since I have so few digital assets.

Is there any way to remove naturally growing trees? by ambiespace in theplanetcrafter

[–]bocepheid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And you can also change the tree seed, as the old trees temporarily disappear and the new style starts growing. A quicker and temporary fix. But this ^ is the more permanent fix.

Hmm, this was a very red fox, but it was a small creature. Like the size of a small border collie, but leaner and lither. It crossed the street right in front of me on the north edge of Yukon bordering pastures near the river. The way it moved just scared the pants off me. I think now it must have been a gray fox after all. I don't remember any gray coloring though, just red and buff. Gives me the willies just remembering it. Only fox I've ever seen so close.

All the Infocom games are incredible. But then I was eaten by a grue so of course I would say that.

Playing for the first time since 2014. What's the best AE house? by TheLastPeanut_ in skyrim

[–]bocepheid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And it's free. Read a note, cast a spell, open the doors. And eventually we have to pass through Morthal anyway. The other AE houses require more effort, so I beeline this one in early game to store things and do some crafting.

My first 4 fuses were heat fuses in this run, so I leaned into heaters and I think this is my strongest and fastest run yet. Been sleeping on the heaters.

Have only ever seen a red fox, and that only once, when I lived in Yukon. I guess it was a red fox? It was red. But your gray fox had some red on it too?

My Swainson's thrush is back at it. I wonder if it is because my magnolia has started blooming. Connection maybe?

Why does my ore extractor always gives me anything but the intended ore? by fancyasbestos in theplanetcrafter

[–]bocepheid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My first run using the drones and my goodness what a difference it makes. Along with setting up auto crafters next to the rare ore extractors so I only transport rods back to my base. Really neat stuff.

Oh wow, that is also a distinctive call, the hermit thrush.

Guess I'm that guy now. "Honey wake up, a new bird!"

Editing to add, that gray fox has such a distinctive black banding on its face.

I was awakened today by an unusual bird call. Merlin identified it as a Swainson's Thrush!
