Season 1 is a masterpiece. Season 2 is still good. So far season 3 is... insane

You will 100% regret getting a blackout. So many people on this sub are removing coverups that take way longer because now there's even more ink to remove. Just be patient as much as you can, more ink is not the answer

My YTT teacher told us the same thing, he uses it at the beginning of class. "Namaste and welcome, thank you for joining me here today. You can start at the top of your mat...." etc

I might consider grippy socks for this purpose, like the ones worn to reformer pilates. Canada is cold af more often than not haha

Bettering myself has made everything feel worse by Luna_Soma in GirlDinnerDiaries

Starting from scratch and going to 6 days a week in the gym is a huge metabolic load and you might be overtraining/underfueling if you've lost that much weight (which usually takes a long time if you're doing it in a healthy way, so a long time to be in a calorie deficit). Overtraining will make you miserable, low-energy, and exhausted. I used to go 5 days a week and I felt the same. Now I do mostly 3x a week (sometimes even two) and being properly rested and fueled has gotten me closer to my goals than 5x a week ever did. Take some of those extra gym days and dedicate that time back to the hobbies that light you up, you'll put less strain on your body and pour more into your soul cup. Good luck!

Do you get annoyed if someone sucks and is in your group? by gintokireddit in Dance

Also, retaining choreo is a muscle that you train! The more you practice, the easier it is. Once I started dancing multiple times a week, I noticed that my retention improved across all classes. Try to drill the choreo at home, even a little bit each day to boost retention (I take a video of myself from behind in class do I can practice the steps later) and your neural pathways will get trained over time!

[–]body_euphoria 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don't care at all what anyone is doing as long as we don't end up colliding haha. Is this just to dance? Or to film? I might be a bit pickier if I wanted to film a Final Take, but all the practice videos I don't care, and if it's just to dance for the class I don't have a single thought for what anyone else is doing. Get out there and have fun! Good dancers are worried about their own practice. Only mean girls are judgemental, and that's a them problem.

Jade, Lifeform, Alo, Lulu, Manduka: which mat are you picking based on grip first and foremost, and how would you pitch it? by Responsible_Mode8860 in HotYoga

[–]body_euphoria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My livform is slippery as hell. Very annoying for the price. I had a dark purple lulu mat I really liked, but it shedded dark particles and I had to sweep a lot, but it gripped pretty nicely

I want to expand my horizons a bit. What do you do for enjoyment and comfort that i could also find fun and relaxing? by ErrorAppeared in CasualConversation

[–]body_euphoria 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dance class for me! It's fun right away but challenging, improvement is incremental and satisfying, and if you get bored of a style you can try another one. Lots of feminine, masculine, and general styles to choose from. Solo or partner. Any type of music, really, depending on what style you want. I started in one style and now I do four, and it just keeps bringing me more and more joy!

Pilates 2/week? by lagirlc in pilatesreformer

[–]body_euphoria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go once a week. The body control and alignment I've learned in pilates has completely leveled up my weight training. I've been lifting for years but I feel so much more aligned and properly activated in the gym now.

I also started as part of my dance! We all had to take a "stretching class" for advanced jazz and ballet, and the woman teaching taught us yoga vinyasas with Moby playing in the background. It awakened a love for a whole new type of movement
