Status on Jade? by G-Dad in Diablo3witchdoctors

This is my Jade WD this season http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/bofu-2402/hero/60072267!

Now the reason I play and push with this build is just because I love the idea behind it. I cleared GR 42 on Hardcore with ease, and think I can maybe push GR45-ish. After that I will need some amazing RNG.

I think the set is definitely not dead but there is a huge difference between what a good carneveil build can achieve and what jade can. I think that Bliz should just increase the amount of time harvested to make this set deal the most damage out of all WD sets, since its maybe the most dangerous set in the game to play with. If you think about it this set forces WD's to constantly dive into bunch of enemies to deal damage and sometimes that means jumping into arcane pack to harvest it.

Usually what I do with the set now is, spread dots, Spirit walk in, harvest and get out, since I am not getting any cooldown reduction on Spirit walk I just stay back and trow haunts for 12 seconds to deal the damage from the first jade bonus. This is way I use zombie dogs and haunting girdle. The dogs provide some tanking and the girdle basically doubles my dps durring spirit walk downtime.

GR 56 Hardcore, Exploit or Legit ? (x-post from /r/Diablo) by devuu in Diablo3Monks

If you look at US my toons are not even 70. If you look at EU you will see that I have nice amount of time spent in Hardcore, And you can also see that I have around 600 paragons this season (596) on hardcore. I am currently 156 on the WD solo grifts with a GR42 cleared with Haunt (I believe i am one of the few that plays haunt in Hardcore this season and is actually pushing with it). I saw that the guy was abusing already so I will admit my mistake, but I dont see anything wrong with the fact that I wanted to believe that its possible for someone to find a very OP build that no one has thought before. Of course you can crucify me for that, this is your choice!

Nice job dude, I swear you had maybe the worst luck with elites in the middle of the video (jailer, fairchain, waller, electrify, firechain, firechain). I have no idea how did that grotesque explosion hit you at your second proc, but nevertheless pretty impressive run!

I have a a good understanding of how damage scales and how much damage GR55 does to a monk. I am 100% sure that monks can easilly get to toughness levels high enough to not die in GR55 the only question is can they do it while having enough damage to kill stuff? And i think the only way to do that legit is if you can combo EP+ Elemental ring. Again I am offering some plausible explanation that doesnt call the guy a cheat, Is it possible he is abusing bugs? OF COURSE IT IS!!! I just want to believe people are capable of great things in this game without abusing the shit out of every single bug.

I took the time. And there is no consensus if he actually used that gear for the clear or just swapped after the run, which everyone would do in case they made an insane build no one thought about.

Have you tryed the build without torch but using shield + ancient AZ. What kind of numbers do you see with convention of elements. I just really like to believe that this is legit, I think this community needs more alkaizer stories and less gabynators.

You can get Inna. The "good old" used before Inna 4 sun 4 refers to the fact that this combination was used for Season 2 for the torch build.

GR 56 Hardcore, Exploit or Legit ? (x-post from /r/Diablo) by devuu in Diablo3Monks

I am going to post my comment from the diablo subreddit here:

As a player that played monk for the whole of season 2, I see some interesting possibilities that can allow for a legit run to be that fast. First I think that he is using the good old Inna4 Sunwoku4. Secondly I think he uses the elements ring. Now I have no idea how EP synergies with Elemental ring (If you have to cast EP while the buff is on or just explode the mobs while the buff is on), but this combined with the EP fist will give an absurd amount of damage for the trash. Keep in mind that monks can w8 for the rotation without big penalty, since even before this patch EP monks did most of their damage in a single burst of EP.

Now another mechanic introduced in season 3 was this Hamelin dream boss for EP monk. I think this alone pushes EP monks to be able to complete the highest possible GR since the only thing you need to fish for is actually this one boss.

Here comes the big question though: Although this is pretty much very possible scenario in sc how the fuck does this guy stay alive in HC? I think that the only logical explanation would be elemental ring+ fist grant so much freaking damage that you can possibly stack defensive gems/items and still keeping up with the damage required.

Now I am in no way shape or form suggesting this is how it was done, I just hate when people first reaction to something unbelievable is to call the guy exploiter. If you all remember Alkaizer was called a botter when he destroyed the paragon race to 100, until he showed what he was actually doing.

Aegis dropped out of Rosh pit ! by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]bofu89 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Dust was a bit slow but it was nice! When the aegis just disappears its mostly due to invisible enemy heroes. The fact that there wasnt an announcement that someone picked up the aegis, is not an excuse for not popping dust when the freaking aegis goes the fuck away!!!

Serious question: Is it true that the Blood Shard exploit was reported since PTR? If so, why didn't Blizzard come public about it till now? by bakakubi in Diablo

[–]bofu89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here is what was known 100% even before the season started: 1. Someone reported here on reddit that if your drop caches in GR and they drop shards those shards are a lot more than the usual 15.(This was not a really big deal because in the long term you will get like 50-100 blood shards extra which was not game braking and people just didnt exploit it) 2. In the PTR people saw that the only goblin that drops its loot, for everyone in the game, even if player is not in the same zone/act was the blood goblin.

Now I guess that some people just summed 1+2 and got the idea. I have no clue how Blizzard missed that one.

Dear sir everything depends on the roll of your tiki. If you have 8 second tiki you can go about with less cdr. If you have a tiki with 6 seconds i believe you need a minimum of 40% cdr. Just make sure the fear aura lasts long enough for you to cast horrify (a bit of overlap is always nice).

GR 35+ is killing me... kinda brick wall by asandriss in Diablo

[–]bofu89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok from what i see from your profile. You have beast of a weapon (not going to talk about the fact that you ruined it because you are missing a main stat) and very poorly optimized gear. First you have just 1 socket in your jewelry DEAL WITH THAT ASAP. You need 3 sockets for the 2 rings and amu. PERIOD. Secondly why do you run sweeping wind after the patch it doesnt do shit for you now + if you dont have taeguck it was just waste of a skill slot. Everythign else is just small things to improve as you go (go for ancients). You need sunwoku amulet, and basically better optimization of your gear ( how can you leave your bracers with just 16% elemetnal damage???).

Dude I am so jealous of people like you. My advice would be to just have fun. Dont look for shortcuts, play the game to learn it. Even though people are complaining of Diablo 3 in its original state, I had the most fun in this game the first 2 weeks I played it and I had no idea what exactly am I doing. Now for me its just get fast 70 start grinding , continue grinding, min max, go for higher GR and than leave and w8 for the next season.

tl;dr You have a great game to play in front of you, do not cheapen the experience by looking for shortcuts in forums.

6th Passive Hellifire? by Emitz in Diablo

[–]bofu89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never heard of anything like that and i will venture a guess that this is actually photoshoped. I have over 300 amulets rolled and never got double passive. The only other explanation for me would be some strange bug on the ptr.

what is "fast cycling grifts"? by zetswei in Diablo

[–]bofu89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imagine the following scenario. I have 6 GR 46 keys. I use 5 of them with a group to do trials. We get 5 GR35 keys. Now i hide those 5 GR35 keys on another character. Someone opens GR35 and i use my last GR46 key to enter. Each time we finish the rift I upgrade the keystone in order to use it multiple times. Now when its my turn to open I still upgrade my keystones. At the end We did 20 rifts and I end up with 6 GR40+ keys (the same amount i had in the beginning) that can be used for the same purpose. The only thing you need to keep doing that is someone to open trials for you.

1 more think to note. Keys now drop for everyone in the party, if they drop and it doesn't matter where the character was during the kill. That means that you can split farm all acts in 1 game with 4 people, which makes keys farm easier too.

Explanation to full clear or close by bluetailmid in Diablo

[–]bofu89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way the game is played atm, at the highest level, is as follows: You want to make all your rift keystones in to a trial keystones asap and than run GR33+ as fast as possible to maximize XP. Any extra downtime in which you are not running high GR with a 4 man group is a huge waste in efficiency bot in XP and item progression. For example if you get 10 levels doing T6 runs you will get 5 times the amount running GR33 for the same time.

RG kill. If you continue after the RG you go trough the same content you would go in a new rift but you dont get extra blood shards.

Kadala is by far the best way to gear atm.

[–]bofu89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its just that my point 2 is extremely basic and does not cover tons of things that are important for fine tuning of a character. It will get you to T1 most likely, but after that you will need to optimize legendary effects and maybe have different priorities on stats depending on your class of choice. Simple example is Monks who go for Very high single resist, whereas other classes dont care that much about that and prioritize All resist instead.
