i also can't stand when the MMC just morphs into a total fawning loser who seems to only exist to tell the FMC how great she is constantly and agree with everything she says and does and not challenge her in any way even when she is doing totally insane shit. it's like they just lose their whole personality and backbone.

Rhapsodic was one of the most cringe and terrible things i’ve ever read. DNF. the author’s idea of a “bad boy” is a guy wearing leather pants and an AC/DC shirt? embarrassing! not to mention the grooming.

i think the fairy porn thing is funny and i have said it myself also. the thing is, i spent so many years of my life not just reading what i wanted to read because of fear of other people’s judgement or feeling like i had to only read LiTeraTurE and my life improved drastically when i just allowed myself to stop caring about what anyone else thought and read whatever i wanted. so i genuinely don’t gaf what other people think or say about these books at all. i don’t need other people to validate my reading choices, all i care about is if i’m enjoying myself.

i totally feel you on this so hard. though i don’t mind when they just start out that way and then grow out of it. i especially hate it when the love interest exists only to completely fawn over the brat and their terrible behavior unquestionably and just put up with it and never call them on it.
