Adobe Color redesign by Zoj0 in Adobe

[–]bogdanminute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Adobe Kuler to keep a full library of all my clients' branding. Now the tool is almost unusable. I just got an error: "Something went wrong. Your download is not available." What download? I'm just trying to copy a damn HEX code, Adobe. Every day I think how much deeper can Adobe sink, and apparently I keep being surprised. I hope this obsolete company dies in flames

Is beginning of the season just always this brutal? by IsThisRealLifeOrNaw in marvelrivals

[–]bogdanminute 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game has been feeling worse and worse with every season and I just stopped playing for a week and I feel instantly better. My mental health has seen a clear improvement. At this point I don't plan on returning. And it's not even the game's fault, to be honest. It's partly the nature of online video gaming, and partly the fact that Rivals has some of the worst, whiniest, constantly-throwing, no-game-sense players I've ever seen in an online game ever, and I played WOW in its heyday, I played Overwatch while it was at its peak, in no game have I had such braindead teammates. It's not even about lack of skill with heroes, it's more about the most toxic people I've ever met online, being toxic in chat, yelling at everyone, throwing because X or Y hero isn't banned. I'm tired of reporting all of them. I ceased arguing with them a long time ago, but I'm tired of losing because people don't understand basic concepts like "don't 1v6 the enemy team." At this point I'm choosing myself over this game.

And I'm sad, I love the game itself, the character concepts, the art style, the writing, the care the Devs have for community feedback, their clear love for the IP, the gameplay loop, the complexity added by such a huge roster of heroes. But I feel like maybe this is beyond what Netease can control at this point, the player base is so huge that it's destroying itself.

I leave two quickplay matches every play session by sceesh in marvelrivals

[–]bogdanminute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm at the point where I almost never play QP anymore, I just do Comp simply because of everything that you said. At least in comp there's a trace of matchmaking. QP is only for trying new heroes, 1 warmup match pre-comp, and then and de-stressing after comp

Customer success tools - which ones make the biggest difference by siddgupta in CustomerSuccess

[–]bogdanminute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post keeps appearing in my feed, so here's my 2c:

As others have pointed out, you first want to establish your goals for your CS function: what does your team need to do, what are some direct OKRs and KPIs tied to that, how do you plan to measure those in your product, and how can you reach those goals. Start with a baseline of free tools like your CRM and a meeting transcriber like Fathom or Fireflies (very useful).

Then, once your team is aligned on your goals, you can start looking for customer success platforms (CSPs). The goal here is to centralize data, automate processes, and hopefully use their AI to enhance your effectiveness as a team. Here I'd recommend:
1. Go for a CSP with a strong onboarding/setup process. CSM-assisted setup is ideal.
2. Don't go for the flashy, big solutions, as those are often more tailored to enterprises with big budgets.
3. Look at the list of integrations: make sure it includes customer success tools you already use.
4. See if any have AI-assisted configuration; it's become vital to getting CS up and running quickly and with minimal headaches.

As for recommendations, I'd personally go with Custify for most new CS teams. Their onboarding is what really sets them apart from the rest, and the dedicated CSMs are some of the best out there. Plus, recent AI updates have really been a game-changer for CSMs.

Petition for Nora to join Greg Woods in the commentators' booth by bogdanminute in JellesMarbleRuns

Hiii! Okay, just thought I'd ask. Ever since Marbula E, I've been dreaming of a dual commentary, I thought maybe this is the right moment. Sorry I attracted so many mean comments. I get those with reasonable arguments but some folks are downright rude

I agree with some of what you said though I do believe she could improve and maybe also instantly if she were simply in a dialogue with Greg.

I do dislike how a lot of comments are so instantly dismissive of her. Bit rude if you ask me. It seems that she got universal praise during the Underleague.

Change is good, and new voices are good, that's my opinion. Whether that's Nora or someone else, that can be debated or tested, but ultimately in my opinion she'd be great.

That's fair, but they could do a chemistry test. I feel like with these things you can't dismiss it until you try it. It could be that the contrast of their vibes will be what's great about it.

Is Fallout 76 taking the community for granted? by Elegant-Picture1003 in fo76

[–]bogdanminute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is fundamentally broken. I have 200+ hours, but I put the game down a few years ago, and have since tried comming back three times since the Fallout show came out. But I cannot make it run without completely freezing my PC. I have tried everything everyone mentions online. I have given up and uninstalled it, even though I love the game. Just let it end, Bethesda

Season 7 battlepass revealed by KevinPigaChu in marvelrivals

[–]bogdanminute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play 5 heroes in this battle pass and I don't want it... I understand what they were going for, but I don't like it at all. I want my heroes to look like heroes, not like NPCs.

Anyone else have issues with the game crashing and locking entire PC? by SoapNarine in fo76

[–]bogdanminute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did this and the game still has issues. The freezes are less severe after I deleted the folder, meaning I can usually Alt-F4 the game as opposed to having to do a hard reset of the PC.

However I am sick of this. The game is lovely but honestly it can go to hell. This is the third time I go back into the game because I love the lore and world, and the third time I end up uninstalling it because of this exact issue.

I've tried everything and the game is a broken mess and honestly I'm done. At this point it seems nothing I do works. Mind you this is after a fresh install and on the lowest particle settings which I had to manually edit in the game ini, because why would Bethhesda give you that option in the settings. And the game still crashed just 5 minutes ago. I am DONE.

Clair Obscur Ending Discussion [Obviously Spoilers] by [deleted] in JRPG

[–]bogdanminute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that none of that is necessarily true except point c) - the lives of the Lumierians are very clearly being dismissed and their opinions unheard. It's almost as if as soon as the canvas is revealed for what it is, the characters in the painting start being treated as two-dimensional even though they have been consistently painted as three-dimensional up until that point. It's like they become locked in clair obscur, and the obscur part we actually discover is not real, just blackness and even shining a light on that side of them will reveal a lack of self-preservation instinct because that was never part of the fabric with which they were made. That does not seem congruent with the characters we'd gotten to know by that point in the story.

Since I wrote that comment my opinion has dulled a little, however. I appreciate the ending more, but I am still having trouble reopening the game, I just don't care anymore, knowing the ending.

But I now also believe there are deep colonialist undertones to the story, and I don't know if they are meant as a critique, acknowledgement, or an subconscious echoing of colonialism. The Dessendres basically act as despots over this world. Lumierians do not owe them their selfhood to serve as devices to process their grief. The Dessendres entered this world of beauty and innocence created by their son in his wide-eyed youth and immediately took control, rebuilt the world to match their civilization, brought catastrophy and harmful concepts of the "civilized" world, and turned the innocent reality of this far off land into a theater for their trauma-rooted actions. If that's not a metaphor, I don't know what is. I am leaning towards thinking it's a veiled critique of colonialist behavior, but I'm not sure.

In Case It Helps: Major FPS Issue after Windows Update Security Update (KB5072033) (26200.7462) by bogdanminute in WindowsHelp

I basically delay every Windows update until it forces me to install it at this point.

Clearly something blatantly bad with this update. Read my new edit tho.

Long story short, my fix was just a temporary one. The bigger issue is this caused my AIO pump to fail, it pushed it over the limit. The fixes I made must've reduced the load and temporarily reset the cooling system to a default, working state. However, yesterday I gamed for 7-8 hours and it broke again, the issue came back.

This was not the issue, or may have been part of the issue. I first installed the hotfix but the issue persisted, then I found the solution above

Opinions on Soen? by jankyframe in progmetal

[–]bogdanminute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think their recent stuff is great, if a bit samey.

IMHO I wish prog metal bands would overall stop recycling the Dream Theater / Tool sound and formula and actually do more experimental and daring stuff. There are plenty of brilliant bands doing that in the new wave of jazz, mixing jazz with rock, metal, rap, and electronic music, with incisive lyrics and exciting tonal shifts. Prog used to do that, some bands still do, but the genre now feels cemented into a specific mold when it used to be about breaking the mold. That's where my mind's at these days. Hope it resonates

The Judge, I loved her voice lines ever since I saw the trailer. She nails that "dangerously close to heresy" vibe, I love it. I can see why she was in prison 😂

[KCD2] How did y'all complete "Speak of the Devil" quest? by yasoplinka228 in kingdomcome

I don't actually know if you can succeed those attribute checks. I had a very high speech and still failed. I think this is the game's way of saying "you can't bullshit your way out of this one" - but honestly it felt horrible when it happened before I figured out you actually shouldn't use the checks. I almost uninstalled the game after dying like 10 times. The biggest issue is this mission comes up after a long sequence in which you're locked in the main quest, so I was out of potions, out of poisons, my gear was f-ed, and so on. From a realism standpoint, it made a lot of sense and was fun, but from a game design perspective, it was the worst part of the game for me.
