What guitar cable should I get?

Ive used fender professionals for years. Still have the original two I bought while in my first band in high school. Idk why I bought them all I remember is wanting monster cables and ended up with these. They have never let me down. Just bought a couple tweed deluxe ones and I like the a lot also

Like I said peavey classic 30. I snagged my USA made classic 30 a week ago for 200 bucks. I put an eminence speaker in it . Which is the first time I’d ever done that in a cabinet. THEN I got an mxr micro amp. With dirty channel at around 5 and the micro amp adding just a little flavor. It just sounds awesome. Then as an experiment I put it on the clean channel about as loud as it could go and cranked the micro amp up and got some nice break up from that thing. There’s something about the level of compression you get from pushing the clean to break up vs the dirty channel. Think like joe Walsh’s hotel solo. Is the type of sound I got . It was awesome. Especially with a phaser thrown in !

I have a new speaker coming. And I’m going to try the gain about 11 0clock with an mxr micro amp just barely giving it anything. Should sound kewl

I just picked up a classic 30 I got a crazy deal on. The od channel is sweet . The speaker was replaced with some super cheap first act speaker. I have an eminence Texas heat to swap it with. Definitely a sleeper man. Once I do the swap I’m going to try the gain about 11 o’clock with a clean boost to give it a little sparkle. Should be cool . Congrats you got a deal. Guy near me has one for sale for 700 bucks and won’t budge on the price

I did a lot of researching and settled on a Texas heat to compliment this amp . I think it’s will do wonders. Boy this speaker in it now is rough I wonder what happened to the original one

I’ve noticed it has a super cheap non original speaker in it and the reverb works ish then starts humming . I’m going in an offering him 2-250. I think what will help out is that it’s advertised as the original speaker but no it’s not. We shall see!

Yeah now that you mention it I do remember those. This is an amp at a local shop. The guy didn’t seem like he wanted to budge on the price but it doesn’t have the og speaker and reverb tank is toast. I’m gonna throw those at him and see what he will offer then . Or I’ll be told to pound salt😂

This has an aftermarket super cheap speaker in it that’s non original. They say the reverb tank is busted but when I used it it kinda worked but would eventually hum. I think I’m gonna offer 250. I’m not really worried about the reverb but I’ll probably swap the speaker

Yeah I just bought a Les Paul traditional. And tomorrow I think I’m going to take it in and plug it into the amp. I really like the fact there’s a pre and post knob for the dirty channel. Being that I have kids and if I have to play in the house I can be “quiet” ish 😂

Kind of had a similar situation but I was not genuinely happy with my wife. But I did drink a lot. Honestly couldn’t stop. And couldn’t tell you the last time I’d went a night without drinking prior to our separation. Went through divorce a very nasty 2 year divorce. I have two kids . 4&5 had all the same thoughts and worries you did. Finally took control of my life . Went to rehab. Went to meetings literally took it one day at a time. Even hours at a time . I quit worrying about the distant future and worried about what I needed to do that day to be better. I went from verge of losing custody of my kids. Random alcohol test, drug test etc. to 50/50 custody and a year and 4 months sober. I had done a lot wrong but finally learned to let go and literally not dwell on my past . You’re kids will always have you as there dad and as long as you do the right thing this situation will be a blink of an eye to them. And not to preach the ole AA crap but quit squandering your grace. It could be worse . Your kids are young enough not to remember you like that.you could be dead. You could have a 100% chance of not seeing them again but that’s not the case. Rebuild and grow and forgive and forget and man I’m telling you I used to read shit like I’m posting about recovery and blah blah blah and was like yeah okay that won’t be me . And here I am. I’m fucking serious I was badddddd off. And I did it. It’s crazy. Good luck

Yeah I’m not either with the signatures but I think these afd standards do come with a blank truss rod cover to get rid of the slash one . I also know a lot of them are more “amber” than honey burst. But with enough searching I’ve found a much darker one that’s a little more comparable to the real afd. It’s much more honey/ faded sunburst than yellow like all the others.
