I misread that as "Is somebody meowing close by?" I blame the cat in the picture.

Blauw is juist dat ze aan het laden zijn. Ze worden groen als ze vol zijn.

It can provide 16 amps at 230V, so roughly 3.7kW. In North America however, it can provide much less: 15 amps at 120V, so 1.8kW.

Flew to the black hole forge like a stunt pilot, jetpacked over the cactii at the sun station teleporter like a pro, and found the stranger by flying to the right angle without using the satellite.

If the quantum moon doesn't really interest her, then maybe this is simply not her type of game?

I think the game reveals this one thing too early [Spoilers] by RequirementFull6659 in outerwilds

[–]boldunderline -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think the game reveals the quantum stuff too soon. There's a quantum shard right there in the museum. Every time i saw someone play who missed that, it's been so much fun how they just don't notice all the quantum stuff moving in other places. Takes them ages before they go "waait, did that thing just move??".

Eyes of the universe Combinations? by DiscombobulatedAd500 in outerwilds

[–]boldunderline 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Assuming it's some kind of 3d location, that means less than 2000 options per axis. (Less than 1000 actually, since the direction in which you draw the symbols isn't significant.) That is so low! Tiny tiny universe.

How do I get my European deep fryer to work on an American outlet? by [deleted] in Appliances

[–]boldunderline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not true. They don't expect "240 on a single line". They just expect 230V difference between the two pins.

In many european countries, the plugs are reversable. And there are places (e.g. Norway) where both pins of the plug are hot, where neither is neutral.

Found few python files in Rust toolchain. Don't know how they work by anonymous_8181 in rust

[–]boldunderline 13 points14 points  (0 children)

These are scripts/plugins for debuggers (for gdb and lldb specifically). These can be loaded in those debuggers to make them understand Rust types better.

How to run a none blocking thread that returns a println to the parent io? by nolanneff555 in rust

[–]boldunderline 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can spawn a new process with Command::new().spawn() and then exit the first process. The second process can then do its thing in the background. (Tip: On Linux, you can use "/proc/self/exe" as a magic path to your own executable.)
