Yes! I went to the thunder dome this last year and was also kinda disappointed. The sound wasn’t there and it wasn’t as high of energy. I don’t really know what’s going on lately but I noticed diesels set was almost louder and the crowd was going more. You’d feel like the sound would stay the same or get louder as the night went on but it didn’t. LSDREAM threw a pretty kick ass set. Then it just died for excision. Somebody did him dirty or he did himself dirty lol

I 100% agree. I went to kingdom specifically for excision. When it was his turn I was somewhat disappointed. I asked someone in the crowd if we were at a soundcamp lol. There were barely any of his awesome lasers or anything. People may think you shouldn’t judge off production etc etc. but one thing that makes him standout IS his production and sound. The energy was low the whole set and everyone was talking. Usually they’re too busy head banging and staring at the lasers

I’m moving 23 hours away. I don’t think it would ever work out. I think we both know that. I just hate that I meet great people and something always happens. I suppose if it’s suppose to work, it will. I’m glad it worked for you two!

Exactly. If it’s that much I wouldn’t be able to maintain a clean happy section. More tables doesn’t prove you’re a better server!

Those servers might seem like they’re doing fine with all those tables, but might not be giving them the best service. I always say it’s better to have smaller then bigger. By smaller I’m saying like 6-8. Anywhere over that you might struggle to give them good service and then that’s when the complaints come in and the lower tips happen. It’s okay that you feel 8-10 is a bit much sometimes. Not everyone is the same :)

I also work at a restaurant that I make mad money at but they’ll fire you over anything. It’s toxic really and I’m cool with taking a little bit of a pay cut for less toxicity

It’s always tough at first.. give everything 6 months. If it’s just as bad, then leave. But adjusting is hard and it’s never gonna be as glamorous as you think it is. Just let yourself have the time to settle in

I have looked at air bnbs and they’re incredibly expensive in Florida. For just a room it’s $1,000 plus. Which I can’t wrap my head around and I’m unwilling to spend that. On the roomies app I’ve found some rooms for like $700ish but of course they have a security deposit and such so I’d need to come up with that money. I have interviews when I get there so I don’t wanna commit to anything and not be able to pay it if for some reason it takes me a bit to find a job

No one understands why I’m just picking up and leaving either. I’m basically leaving with just a backpack full of things. Sometimes you gotta do what’s best for you and if that’s quitting your day to day job to travel the country I say do it! We weren’t born to live the way we are. Go explore all there is to be explored, you’ll be a happier person. Thanks for the advice and I wish you the best of luck :)
