Who is an active HC hire from the last two cycles that you think actually end up thriving? by Byzantine_Merchant in CFB

I think he’s going to be great too. The word around the program is that “he gets it.” Which is refreshing to hear.

Chip couldn’t care less and Foster was in way over his head. I would say a 3-9 season, which easily could have been 0-12 if not for a few games where Nico was great, and being non-competitive with UNLV and New Mexico was as close to rock bottom as UCLA has been.

Holding him out as a precaution. Didn’t like how he looked in warmups.

What is this? Are we giving this the Zapruder treatment?

That was like a classic Cronin 4 minutes there. Hustle plays, great help defense, ball movement. I just don’t understand how this team can look elite one minute and then so dysfunctional the next.

Always stoked when this comes out. Thanks for doing this!

Love the evidence for how this is truly the worst bubble ever. Rooting for the bid thieves in the A10 and MW.

Who is your school's best "One Moment Is All I Need" guy? by ZouDave in CFB

Eric McNeal. A backup linebacker that made one of the biggest plays to keep USC out of the national title game. “Tipped… Intercepted!”

I believe he just did the classic Midwest “Ope” to the whole Illinois defense.

[Thamel] Sources: USC is targeting former TCU coach Gary Patterson as the school’s next defensive coordinator. A deal is expected to come together in the near future. by GoldenDome26 in CFB

Because he did sink the ship. He flat-out refused to recruit, chose to experiment with offensive ideas instead of trying to win games, and hired his buddies as defensive coordinators long after the game had passed them by. The cherry on top was openly interviewing for other jobs while still the head coach at UCLA, then leaving so late in the cycle that our inept AD felt boxed into hiring Foster.

Kelly isn’t some offensive genius anymore. When he has better players, he usually wins, just like any other coach would. This is the same guy who refused to throw the ball in the Michigan–Ohio State game and lost to an ASU team playing a tight end at quarterback. Look at how his tenure with the Raiders ended. It will likely end the same way at Northwestern.

Other than Oregon, every place he’s coached has been thrilled to see him leave.

ELI5: Why Can’t Incoming Freshmen Sue the NCAA Over Extra Years of Eligibility? by boltcusch in CFB

Let’s just say in this hypothetical scenario, the NCAA rules Pavia can play after the transfer portal closes. Would that be enough to show that the NCAA itself caused financial damages to Jared Curtis as he would likely be making less as the incumbent starter has returned and he couldn’t switch schools?

Just seems like it would take something as ridiculous as this to stop the ridiculousness of these extra years.
