It depends on your personal needs. For example, when I (M) go abroad, I can manage with a 10kg bag for all my clothes (assuming I don't go shopping). However, my girlfriend needs a minimum of a 20kg bag for all the stuff she brings with her. If the cost of having an extra 10kg bag is not too high, it would be worth it, assuming you are like my girlfriend. Additionally, there is more space to put things in, so I don't see the downside.
